Do I understand you correctly that they gave the original story on the radio and actually said it was being corrected? This needs to go to all radio hosts and FOX.

he press is actually going to start outright lying in articles.

It is Al Gore's fault. Gore invented the Internet. </sarcasm

The more the Internet makes the mainstream media irrelevent the more desperate the MSM is going to become in its efforts to influence our hearts and minds.

I sent the following e-mail message to AP:

"What a bunch of political hack liars you are. After President Bush gave his best regards to former President Clinton's condition and the audience joined in agreement, I read your news' story stating that the audience 'booed'.

Fold up, go home and get another vocation. This one is no longer working for people who depend on facts, honesty and truth."

Nov. 1963, Orange County, California.

A high school classroom. System broadcasts that Pres. Kennedy shot and killed.

More than one teenager applauded.

Did anybody else see the original besides you? Not that I suspect you to be a rabble rouser or anything like that.

Then forward THIS one to him showing how FReepers caught this blatant lie/bias and the lying AP removed it.

Someone else posted the AP correction in the newer thread. I guess they have to note corrections on stories that have already gone out on the wire.

"He's done dozens of Cheney/heart jokes."

So have other so-called comedians. Here's just a few examples of what's out there:

"I don't know if you've heard the rumors — George Bush may be dropping Dick Cheney. George Bush says he's going to give Cheney four more years. The bad news — the doctor is only giving him two" —Craig Kilborn"

"Cheney's temper got the best of him last week when he told Vermont Senator Pat Leahy to 'go F yourself' on the Senate floor. Wow that's so out of character. He seems like such a peach. ... Afterwards President Bush would not comment on Cheney's outburst adding, 'You think I want that psycho coming after me.' ... Dick Cheney does have a history of swearing, but usually he's clutching his chest and falling down." —Craig Kilborn"

"Dick Cheney agreed to be President Bush's running mate once again in 2004. He made the announcement while riding in Ambulance One. In fact, he's got a new campaign slogan: No chest pain, no gain. ... He said he wanted four more years but his doctor is only giving him two." —Jay Leno"

"Plans are being made to replace Dick Cheney if and when it ever becomes necessary. They have to plan for this kind of stuff, you know, Cheney had what, a stent, put in his artery to keep it open, had a defibrillator with batteries implanted in his chest. I think they've already started replacing him, piece by piece." —Jay Leno"

"Earlier tonight, President George Bush delivered his first address before joint houses of Congress and I believe the speech went over pretty well. It was interrupted 97 times by applause, and it was interrupted three times by Dick Cheney's heart attacks. - David Letterman"

Transcript of Bill Mahar on Larry King Live:

"KING: We're moving on now. Very well said. Mr. Cheney. He's here, he's not here.

MAHER: Yeah.

KING: What do you make of this, our sometimes absent vice president?

MAHER: I think he had another heart attack.

KING: Come on, Bill.

MAHER: But that's just a safe bet.

KING: Bill.

MAHER: I'm kidding. What?

KING: You got to say you're kidding about something like that, because that's...

MAHER: Because what? We didn't make 1,000 jokes about Dick Cheney having heart attacks before? What? You mean, Dick Cheney and a heart attack isn't funny now because of Osama bin Laden? I mean, come on.

KING: All right. No. But to presume someone had a heart attack, it's...

MAHER: Because we never see him! He's due. I mean, my God, it's been three months. No, I don't know. He's in an underground bunker. He's, you know, he's harder to find than bin Laden.

Reports from people in the audience said they were booing but most of the TV reports you could hear cheering. I am guessing the planners were smart about it and made sure the crowd around the TV audio would be cheering which is what most people watching will hear.

Did anybody get a "capture" before the change? Aren't there some permanent records to reference for proof. Through Google IIRC?

Get it to MRC!

Maybe AP's lies should be forward to Brit Hume so he can determine for himself if there was any boos on the tape. If it was reported incorrectly by AP, Brit will probably report a story about it on his show.

No, that thread doesn't seem to have any confirmation in it. This one does, but just one fellow troll (maybe).
