FNC Beats Nets Again: 7.3 Mil At 10pm Fox News Channel averaged 7.3 million viewers between 10 and 11pm Thursday, early ratings data demonstrates. CNN averaged 2.65 million and MSNBC averaged 1.7 million during the hour. The fast national numbers for the networks show that Fox beat the networks again last night. This data is not final, but CBS averaged 6.2 million, NBC had 5.6 million, and ABC had 4.7 million. Final #'s will be available later today... > "Apparently the Tick-Tock diner was serving up some severe humble pie once the ratings came in every day," a source jokes...

Here's another theory. The free thinking moderates and conservatives are sick of being forcefed liberal propaganda anymore.

That's about 25 million people who watched the speech last night. Given that they are likely votors, that helps explain the bounce in the polls. Good News!
To: Pikamax
I come up with 28m viewers of the President's speech.
I thought I saw that Kerry had 24m?

Fox News remains the ratings champ!
When political issues are front and center, ABCNNBCBS&msnbc are losing viewers when it counts most.

OLD MEDIA COLLAPSING!!!

Bush Total - 28.15 million
Kerry Total - 24.40 million
I like that ratio - hope that keeps up on November 2nd.

And these numbers are not even including c-span. Make that about 27.5 million, rather than 25 million.

To: psjones
I watched it on PBS myself. Do they include those numbers?
To: Rightwing Conspiratr1
Your right!! They left PBS out!
To: Pikamax
So that's an average of 28 Million people that watched the President's speech
Anyone know what Kerry's numbers were?

Everyone I know who watched the convetnion did so on PBS.
If you do not have cable, PBS was the only place to get coverage of the convention.
(plus I like watching Mark Shields flounder)

This is great news folks. It will absolutely drive the liberals batty. They will scream for censorship. Count on it.
To: Pikamax
Sad to say that I was watching CNN, but only because I was cruising along at several thousand feet and it was the only feed available. (Actually, CNBC and MSNBC were available, but the convention wasn't covered on those channels -- at least, not on the plane -- maybe it wasn't a live feed for those stations.)

Wow! 7.3 MILLION?
That must be a record for a cable news channel.
