It was reported today that some of the terrorists killed in the fighting weren't Chechens at all. Some of them were Arab(read: Al Qaida).

This should be no surprise to anyone. A Jordanian by the name of Khattab,Killed by the Russians 2 years ago, commanded the Arab Wahabbist battalion fighting in Chechnya. He was Russia's most wanted terrorist since he fought them in Afghanistan. Shamil Basaev who is now Russia's most wanted is also a Wahabbist Chechan who commands the Martyrs Battalion. Thousands of Arabs have fought in Chechnya since the early days of that war. The Russian govt. has pointed that out to the world for many years to deaf ears. The Wahhabists declared holy war against Russia even before Bin Laden did against us.
