Or he could have used those 7 minutes as a Kerry, Edwards or democrat in general would have done. Like asking himself and his Staff: How come this happened on my watch? Why's everybody always picking on me? Do I have time to take a poll and see if my decision is popular with trhe citizens? Wonder how France will react to my decision? They may bomb this school, where oh where can I hide? Should I get the approval of the UN before I react? (silly question-of course I should? Where's my Valet? Is my makeup running? Why do my britches feel wet? What's that awful smell.

"I must track down the people who did this and find out what we did to make them so mad, and reason with them-must remember to be polite and non-confrontational. Blah, blah, blah."

The great thing about Republican presients is that they carefully select competent people for cabinet positions and other leadership positions- people who can be trusted to do what needs to be done without having to be directed in how to do it 24 hrs a day by a micromanaging busybody.

Now if this had occured under the watch of what passes for Democrat candidates these days... nothing could have been done for days and even weeks because we'd still be waiting for Kofi Annan and the UN to tell us what they will permit us to do, and waiting for France to approve as well so no one could accuse us of acting unilaterally.

How long did your hero, John F(*cking) Kerry sit around with his "mind numbed" and not do anything? He had a bunch of other liberal-demokkkRATs with him, who also did and thought nothing. Mindless morons, all.

Go to hell, troll.

To sit there and continue what he was doing so as not to terrify those children indicates a man of amazing self control. Would you have preferred him to jump out of the room like "chicken Little"?I would much rather have a man with self control in charge of the "button" than one who whines and runs to mommy when a crisis arises.

As soon as I saw the first plane hit the Tower, I blurted out "bin laden".

I blurted out Ralph Nader because I knew Greenies would be among bin Laden's supporters and would be understadning of the attack on the "globalist" WTC. Sure enough, we end up fighting not just terrorists but all these appeasers and whiners too. ;o)

"I was in the Capitol. We'd just had a meeting - we'd just come into a leadership meeting in Tom Daschle's office, looking out at the Capitol. And as I came in, Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon. And then word came from the White House, they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate, and so we immediately began the evacuation."

"Well, maybe, the President could have asked key questions and made some key decisions? Questions: Who did this? Could there be more planes? What steps should we take to protect the American people? Decisions: Ground air-traffic; Evacuate potential targets, such as the Pentagon; Give authority to shoot done planes under specific conditions."

That's exactly what he did during those 7 minutes. You can't multi-task? He's pretty good, huh?

Forty minutes, by Kerry's own account (with Larry King??).

Best response I've seen so far to these ridiculous accusations....and you are very likely right.
