Viet Cong Vets Puzzled Over Attacks on Kerry (They would VOTE for Kerry)
Los Angeles Times ^ | Margie Mason,

Although (former Viet Cong soldier) Sinh had never heard of Kerry, he had a strong opinion about the debate surrounding the candidate's Vietnam War record as a U.S. Navy Swift boat commander: Kerry must have had guts to troll the Mekong Delta's spider web of rivers and narrow canals knowing that Viet Cong like himself were waiting to pick him off.

"Kerry served in Vietnam and he was awarded the medal for his bravery," Sinh said. "He deserves the medal." Hung said he was also puzzled by the uproar over Kerry's decision to join the antiwar movement upon returning home.

Although Kerry may be worried about veterans' support in America, Sinh said he would vote any day for his former enemy over President Bush.

Former Viet Cong soldier describes fierce fighting, which, of course has absolutely nothing to do with Kerry, but is intended to imply that somehow Kerry is a hero, because other Swift Boats fought valiantly.

This is a genuine news article, NOT a spoof.

Although, when I did a search, to see, whether this has already been posted, I did come across a similar post, which WAS a spoof from scrappleface.

Viet Cong Vets for Kerry Refute Swiftboat Book
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1186470/posts

"The Viet Cong veterans' support comes at a crucial time for the Kerry-Edwards campaign, just days before the release of Unfit for Command : Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry.

Well, it's not a joke anymore, it's real, genuine news. And LA Times published the news -- do they really think that endorsement of Kerry by Viet Cong soldiers will help him? LOL

I left out another relevant quote:

"He knew the suffering and how much misery it brought to the people of Vietnam — he knew the cruelty of war," Sinh said. "So I don't think he would go to war again if he's elected."

That is exactly the problem. We don't want a wartime President, who would refuse to go to war to defend our country and the American people.

The next thing we will see is a promotion for a NWO from JFK and the liberal branch of the Democratic party...

"When they went home, they knew the nature of the war and the people here were innocent and they knew it was nonsense to wage war here," said Hung, whose two older brothers joined the Viet Cong and laid mines in the rivers where the Swift boats operated.

Someone should go over to Vietnam, interview some of these Viet Cong on camera and make an ad of it.

Hooray for Kerry. Looks like he has chalked up another endorsement from the Asian Autocrats special interest group. First, it was the Malaysian autocrat and well-known joo-hater Dr. Mahathir who came out in support of him. Then Kerry got another ringing endorsement from those well-known humanitarians who operate above the 38th parallel. Now Kerry has chalked up an endoresement from communist acolytes who are directly responsible for killing American troops 35 years ago. But who I am to bring up things that happended 35 years ago. After all, if you are Republican you aren't allowed to discuss what happened 35 years ago. That privilege is reserved for New England bluebloods who are running for president on the Democratic ticket.
