2. POW's state Kerry anti-war statements used to torture them
3. Vet states VVAW testimony a lie coerced by Kerry

In other words, not only did Kerry lie about his medals, not only did he lie about vets in Viet Nam, but he intimidated others into making the same lies. The entire Kerry history from Vietnam to the VVAW and even his political career is all based on lies whose only purpose was to advance his political career.

Kerry lied while good men were tortured and died. Kerry lied to sap the will of the American people to continue the war in SE Asia, when we pulled out, the Viet Cong rushed into the vacuum and proceeded to slaughter millions of people. With the US out of the area, Pol Pot was able to take control of Cambodia and murder millions more. The blood of millions of innocents is on the hands of Kerry and what for?

...so he could make this one blunder of a run at the presidency.

I thought of that right after I hit "post," and smacked myself in the head.

It probably didn't happen...but please note that I've had a peacenik veteran of the Korean War call me a coward and other assorted names because I have the gall to have an opinion on the Iraq war without being a combat vet. It takes all kinds, and we know that genuine war heroes like McGovern were hardcore antiwar types in the vietnam era, so all it would take for this story to be true is for a McGovernite to be a prick. That's not too much of a stretch...

But you're right, and we should assume it's untrue, because we only have the word of a liar as evidence.

Also, there was a whole lot of misinformation and bad press about Vietnam veterans back then, and many people tend to believe the t.v. and newspapers as though they're gospel.
