great work! this stuff by CBS would have worked without the rise of the new media. First off, the population of people who watch CBS "news" magazine shows is dramatically down. Second, the response is already out there by RNC and will be aided by it's spread on the internet and talk radio. I Expect Hugh Hewitt to bang this hard this afternoon.
Bump!
I was just reading about this at the RNC site. Thanks for posting it here.
I've tried Googling this, but I haven't confirmed it yet. Anybody?
So lets say everything Barnes says is true who gives a red rats butt? This is old crap being stirred by 60 minutes.
One thing about crap, the more you stir it the worse it stinks.
Even Bubba told Kerry to get off the Viet Nam , military record garbage, this just brings it out more , and more people will be screaming for Kerrys record which he cannot reveal and still win.In the end this will hurt Kerry more than George Bush.
It's still amazing how the Big mediacrats keeping putting on discredited Bush-bashers (Barnes, Wilson, Clark, etc), while none of them will even touch the Kerry accusers. Even worse, they have no skepticism of these Bush-bashers, while they go out of their way to personally attack anyone who might impugn Kerry. The media is the enemy...period!
PLEASE do not watch 60 mintutes no matter how much you may feel tempted.
Do not give that pathetic show any ratings.
Trust me...I haven't watched the Big Three in almost 6 years. The only time I turn to them is for sports...unfortunately.

Does this Texas Barnes, have any relatives named Randy Barnes from KC Missouri?
Yes. It is most assuredly true. Barnes became Lieutenant Governor in 1969 but Bush joined up in 1968.
All the news stories quote Barnes' allegation with an ellipses about halfway through the quote where they took something out. If you look at the video the ellipses part says "when I was Lieutenant Governor." The media cut that part out of the newspapers because they KNEW that Barnes wasn't Lieutenant Governor when Bush joined up.
Yes it is, but unless we counter it with the truth about Barnes - a human cockroach if there ever was one - the MoveOn types will be playing nonstop commercials of Barnes' video clip through election day as revenge for the swift boat ads.
Texas knows all about Ben Barnes and remembers him as a disgraced politician but virtually nobody outside of Texas knows this. That means he will come across as credible in those commercials when they start airing UNLESS we preempt it and get the word out about what a slimy person Barnes is. Barnes has more mud on his name than Clinton at an Arkansas pig wrasslin' contest. Our job is to get it out there and make sure the nation knows about it.
So then it looks like W is ropadoping again. I can hardly wait for CBS to get egg all over its face for the upcoming 60 Minutes piece.
Watch CBS kiss this guy's but tonight on the 60 minutes Comedy Hour.
