This article is from yesterday, it is a little weak on details.
According to www.steinreport.com Tancredo and Asa have yet to speak.

I hate to say it, but Hutchison is right. The laws in their current state, are ipossible to enforce. Both the laws and the policy need to change.

Ping, just what I was going to say. I'm hopping mad.

Asa might say the same thing about car theft. But since he has a car, he probably still wants those laws enforced.

I would've liked to hear Tancredo at the GOP Convention.
Would've boosted the credibility level a bit.

Good point. Asa has no real interest in keeping illegals out. I say go Tancredo go.

I'll beat Tom to the punch - I hereby call on Huthcinson to resign. Or for President Bush to fire him.

Asa,
You have to go. What kind of statement is that to make as Undersecretary for Border and Transportation Security. How do you think Border Patrol agents that are risking their lives everyday on the border think of your comments. I am sure that's a big morale boost to the border agents. You are pathetic. It's time that you resign.
P.s. Take Tom Ridge with you!

Or for President Bush to fire him. I don't think he'd fire anyone who supports the amnesty proposal.

I'm voting for Bush because sKerry cannot be allowed to nominate judges. But once November is over, there needs to be a shakeup in the GOP.

You are correct and hopefull everyone will calm down and think about this.
The current laws require LITERALLY the Border patrol agents go out and pick up every single individual illegal.
Yes, that would be very nice but humanly impossible.
We need to focus on real issues.
like:
Building a real fence that is not stuck in libo by envirowacko laws. (seriously a border fence should be exempt from environmental impact laws, screw the snails)
Supporting our border patrol agents who are FREQUENTLY SHOT AT BY MEXICAN POLICE AND MILITARY.
Finding effective means of dealing with those who come legally and overstay illegally. (vast majority illegals enter the USA LEGALLY.)
We all want the same thing. No illegal entry in the USA. We have to deal with reality in order to make this work better in the future.
