Yep, apparently he has done this before, going into enemy territory and getting assulted. Knowing this, and then bringing his 3yr old daughter with him, makes him, in my opinion, a man of questionable judgement.

Okay, I spoke with Mr. Parlock again. He was very kind, but suspicious of me being a DUmmy. Fortunately, my copious use of "yes sir" and "no sir" assured him that I was not from The Dark Side. I have sent a little token of our appreciation to his daughter, and it ought to arrive on Wednesday or so.

I can provide his address via FReepmail if anyone wants to send any individual items to him. I would rather not post it in a public forum. I will caution anyone using online phonebooks that the zip code listed for his address is not correct.

Anyone have any followup on ID'ing that union thug? I'd love to arrange a gift of a slightly different kind to him.... grumble...

Let’s not pretend that only the left lies and cheats. I saw the info over on DU and it may or may not be true, but shouldn't our interest be in the truth? If this guy did go there to generate a photo op who’s to say he didn’t also bring his own assailant? The admin moderator can call it lefty rumor, but if it is true and we dismissed it because it doesn’t fit what we would prefer, how are we any different than duped Dan? (let the flames begin…)

I saw the pics. I'm calling it a CYA and damage control effort on the dems part.

In order for this set up to work, all this must happen.

1. The photographer must be there at the perfect time.
2. One of the sons must be a IUPAT member and probably a union rep or management guy.(I'll start believing the dems if that is the case - until then, I'm calling BS on the dems calling it staged)
3. They must all be together and in the front row.
4. All expressions must be perfect at the same time.

And let's keep in mind that the goon squads don't have a good record of civility.

Thanks Dan. I'm not either. I've seen plenty of "wishful thinking" conspiracy posts over there, but I'm also not convinced we have the full story yet. But freepers are good sluthes - we'll know soon enough.

It might be wise to distance ourselves from Phil Parlock for the time being. DU is always full of s**t, but they did find published reports where this same thing happened to Parlock in 1996 and 2000.

The pictures they have look like the attacker could be Parlock's son. In light of these two factors, we should just let this go until the story can be sorted out.

OR, we could clear it up here, does anyone have access to Lexis-Nexis? That's where the DUmmies say they are getting their information.

No, those claims hadn't been posted by the time I talked to him. Besides, from the look on his daughter's face, I highly doubt that jerkwad is related to them. (Remember, that would make the goon with the baseball cap her older brother.) I am not an investigative journalist, and figured that he was going through a tough enough time, so I didn't even think of trying to question anything. You're welcome to call him and do so yourself if you'd like - His number was posted on another thread. He seemed genuine enough to me, and he certainly seems to be straightforward enough that you could ask him that, though that may make him suspect you of being a DUmmy...
