Quote:
"On a thread begun in response to a New York Times article about the 60 Minutes story, "tomahawk" wrote, "The MSM [mainstream media] are whores for Kerry, whores for Democrats, and whores for Jihadists. Through their lies and distortions, our country's continued existence is now in doubt."
This quote is followed by a paragraph beginning with the following sentence: Amidst this clamor, the post by "Buckhead" could easily have gotten lost.. Is Mr. Last insinuating that the statement by tomahawk is somehow baseless or radical? All we all just a bunch of clamoring kooks making outrageous assertions? Tomahawk in my estimation is right on target with his comments and should be commended not mocked. While the term "whore" is a bit incendiary, in my estimation it is quite accurate and justified.
The rest of the article is outstanding and quite accurate. Thanks for the post.

Let's try this again. Maybe it's better this way:
One night I freeped a candidate in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know.
There. One for the Pajamhadeen.

I'm getting a little sick of hearing about "blogs" and these "blogs" getting more credit than they deserve. "Blogs" are nice, no qustion about it, but Free Republic blows them away. I mean, gimme a break.

I didn't realize FreeRepublic.com was a 'blogging' site....hmmmmmm.... ;)
It's not. It's a bulletin board.
More like usenet (netnews) was 10 - 20 years ago.
Bulletin boards have their strengths and weaknesses, just as blogs do.
Bulletin boards are more 'closed' or 'self-selected communities' than blogs.

This is great, I'm printing and framing this and giving it to myself as a retro-birthday present, you see it started on my b-day, Sept 9th. I love it and I love Freerepublic
My favorite part and I paraphrase "We have an open-source inteligence gathering network" I love that too! -ftm

Whore would imply they are doing it for money. I think they do it for "love". Love of Kerry, love of the dems and love of the jihadists.

Hmm...
Gary Oldman as Dan Rather? John Malkovitch as Kerry? Bill Pullman as George Bush?

So I guess since they are not doing it for money and they are doing it for love, that would imply a relationship. A long-term relationship of over 40 years. I think that qualifies them for a common law marriage.

Bulletin boards are more 'closed' or 'self-selected communities' than blogs. Also a blog usually have one (or a few) person running it and making the primary post while everyone else comments on those. If Jim Robinson posted the articles and we commented on them FR would be a blog.

I think this is my favorite line in the article:
"At the blog of the left-wing American Prospect, Nick Confessore speculated that if the documents really were fake, the White House would have released the originals."

...From our makeup, we are Americans: Conservative Americans. Americans united in one common goal: We wont stop till the mission is complete. For we are the new media. We are the new truth in America. We are the amateurs that have rocked the status quo. These merry bands of amateurs, known as Freepers, have shown their expertise at exposing the truth. This forum called Free Republic will supercede the admonishment of the liberal media and conquer all those that oppose us. After all, we are the best in the world. Ive said it before and Ill say it again: Free Republic is made up of some of the finest minds Ill ever know. And for that, I am forever grateful for their expertise. I am forever grateful for this new media.

Ping to a great summary! My only disappointment was that he failed to note that we FReepers wear the "Pajama People" label quite proudly and even have our artistic geniuses create posters and jammies and bunny slippers for us!

A long-term relationship of over 40 years. I think that qualifies them for a common law marriage. Longer than that if you consider the sloppy kisses Walter Durante and the New York Times were giving to Stalin in the 1930s.
