Pray for me and my family. My son has cancer, and I believe I am going to be laid off very soon.

To paraphrase that great man, Abraham Lincoln, I feel how weak and futile must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming...I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement. Please know that you and your family are in the prayers of friends here in California and all across this free republic. Keep the faith, hope and love.

Never ever give up. Always remeber that the worst day of your life is always followed by a better day.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You promise to supply all our needs, according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus ... Philippians 4:19. We claim Your promise for this family so beset with trial. May Your healing hand rest mightily upon this beloved son ... take from him all traces of cancer, we pray. If one door of employment is closed, we thank You that You will open another, such is Your provision. Touch this family with Your mercy, O God, in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

Phat: Some years back my mother had a run-in with breast cancer. So, I prayed to God to heal her, and by His Grace He did. It's a very old Muslim prayer to God. It invokes God by his attributes. (There are many) In the name of God, the Beneficent-- the Merciful...

O Lord of Majesty and Generosity

O Merciful Lord, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth

O Thou that cleaveth the daybreak

O Thou that nourisheth the little baby

O Thou that forgiveth our sins; and wardest off misfortunes

O Light that consoleth those that are bewildered in darkness

O Thou that answerest howsoever Thou art invoked

Know what-- I can't translate a lot of this-- it's classical Arabic-- so give me a little time. (I'll type it it up Sat)

In any case, may God's mercy and love encompass you and your family-- now and forever. May God remove the disease that plagues your child. May God, in His Majesty, grant you happiness in this life and the next.

May you and your child live a thousand years.

I pray for your son and you. At times like these our troubles seem insurmountable, and sometimes they are. They roll over us like a mountain leaving us alive when we think it should have killed us instead of just changing us.

At times like this all we can do is endure the unendurable, as these unwelcome realities give a new and deeper meaning to the word "endure". When things are so out of control, the only thing left to our control is who we come out being on the other side of it.

I pray for your endurance, I pray for your grace. I pray for your son's healing, and for there to be no job layoff in your future. I pray for God's Holy Spirit to be your strong right arm. To sustain you, to strengthen you, no matter if the future brings victory or defeat in this life.
For the ultimate victory is already won in Christ Jesus, the One who knows how long a minute must be endured, as well as how long a lifetime.
