They might be released, but no one's going to be paying any attention to them. CBS has cooked this goose.

If I were a CBS executive (brrr...) I'd be telling Mapes and Rather right about now, that I don't care if they have W's fingerprint in Nicole Brown's blood, - with certication from the FBI crime lab - absolutely, positively no more friggin' "documents" on this story.

Try here.

Frankly, I doubt the 'Rats are going to turn anything up simply because I don't think there's anything to turn up.

It concerns me too. I have to agree with Miss Marple.. the whole thing is a crock because Bush has said over and over.. I did my time.. and got my discharge and went on with life.

He said that Kerry was more valorous because he did time in Vietnam.. they guy hasn't strutted one minute other than say he got an honorable discharge.

The funny thing.. is that he probably gave up and went on to other things because of the damage Kerry did. In other words, Bush was just another person who's life was changed by Kerry, setting him on a path toward politics. Woops..

Oh, I agree, but it really is delicious seeing Rather and CBS being being barbequed so nicely. WE have always known that the media is doing this--they've usually been a bit more subtle, but pulling the same stung even so--but now even people who once thought "network news" was unimpeachable now question what's being reported. That's really a huge step forward for our country.

They certainly have...we don't care anyway. We're not lookin' at Bush in his youth...we're lookin' at President Bush TODAY....and the last 4 yrs. has proven what a GREAT Commander-In-Chief he is. Now if these docs had come out during the 2000 election...that might...and I say MIGHT...have been an influence...but RATHER PATHETIC...WE DON'T CARE!!!! GET IT...IT WILL NOT CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THIS ELECTION!!!!

We'll never elect a man who lied about his 'Band of Brothers' and ran and I mean ran away from NAM. This guy elected to leave NAM, he was a scarey cat, so he put himself in for factious medals and elected to leave NAM early. He could of stayed but he is/was a CHICKEN SH*T.

PRESIDENT BUSH BY A LANDSLIDE!!!

The funny thing about this whole episode is that the more I read about even this time in GWB's life.. the more I am impressed and like him. Several folks have put together a very reasonable explaination of this time in GW's life.

He got shot down to go to Vietnam. Kerry and his ilk were making it hell to be even in the Guard and the war was winding down. George decided to get on with life like so many others.. Still, he did good. Nothing to be ashamed of. Thats why he isn't. Folks in the Democrat party just cannot accept or believe other folks don't move on to something else without seriously screwing up.

A lot of pilots we knew, back in the day as they say, were a little on the wild side. They could be reckless at times, but those are qualities that are actually needed to be good pilots. Not reckless without restraint, but willing to take risks--some would say calculated risks. I doubt that our President was any different, except that he had the "right stuff" to go on to be President one day.

I halfway expect the next "revelation" to be on the order of, "I saw him cut off little Jillie's ponytail in the 3rd grade!"

I wouldn't put it past them to be doing just that. They also will probably be a lot more careful to be accurate in the form they use for their new forgeries and use the correct terminology. They are a desperate bunch. They have, like all of us, been reading what has been posted on the internet. Before they ran with their original fraud, they didn't have a clue about the firestorm they were unleashing. They didn't believe anyone would doubt them enough to check into their work and expose it for what it was. Now they know. They will be much more careful and so we will have to be much more alert.

Now that they've floated the first trial balloon of a bad forgery, they'll float another one that has had more time to fix and refine. "CBS regrets that the last document we publicized was a forgery, but here try this one and see if it's okay this time."

I just went and checked out that item on EBay, lol. There are 4 days and 7 hours left on that particular auction. It has received 22 bids and is currently at $13.50. A real steal if you ask me. I am half tempted to place a bid myself. Checking the bid history you see some newbie bidder by the name of john f. kerry has bid several times. Do you think....naw, even sKerry wouldn't be THAT obvious.
