Once again: What's the Russian strategic nuclear warhead count today? What was the count in 1989?
If you don't even know the answers to those questions, what is the basis for your dogmatic assertion?

Well, my guess is the CIA would pay you a few million bucks for that answer so it is a pretty loaded question. But for the heck of it, the SALT talks and treatys made a wonderful deal for peace, we destroyed a bunch of our missiles, they destroyed a bunch of theirs. We then destroyed a bunch of our warheads, and they balked and said they could not destroy theirs the same way because they might explode. So we paid them a bunch of money to build factorys to destroy theirs and they built some factorys, but built new, more advanced missiles than we have, and are now currently plugging those old warheads on new shiny solid fueled MIRVS with a much faster reaction time and a nicer, longer flight path.
So my guess is they have just as many warheads or more than before, and we have much less. I do not know the actual count, and if anybody says they do, they are lying. But I can tell you the RATIO is much worse than before.
Same with the subs, we were way ahead in boomers when we made a treaty to stop building so many. Now they have as many or more.

Really... Communism "IS" socialism.. If we won why is the entire democrat party NOW run by socialists.. The U.S. is now effectivly a democracy with vestiges of the old republic present to hide the fact. Soviet-styled, European communism was destroyed for once and for all in the late '80's. We won the Cold War with brave warriors-statesmen like Reagan, Thatcher, and the Pope. This much is true for certain.
However, communism is NOT a weaker force now than it was then. It's simply shifted focus. China and North Korea remain daily threats to our future existence, with Korea practicing open beligerance and China attempting to decieve America through false ingratiation and a quiet secrecy about the theft of Nuclear secrets, etc.
Look closer than the surface of the question. Look at the Latin America of today, and observe the greatest surge of communism in South American history unfolding beneath our uncaring, distracted eyes. The Shining path is coming back; the FARC never left. Venuzuela has become a Cuban-styled communist dictatorship in all but name. More "benign" (at least for now) Communists run formerly anti-communist states from Brazil to Argentina.

jb6, Inside Story was as pro-Israel as you can get. Moreover, there is no greater friend of the Russian PEOPLE than Inside Story. Communism is a completely alien force that interjects intself into civilization for the purposes of destroying Gods natural order of things. That holds true in terms of what happened to the Russians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Cubans, etc. Inside Story attempted to warn the free world about the phony collapse of Communism, so that what had already happened in captive Communist countries wouldn't happen to them.
BTW, as someone who wears Christianity on your sleave, you sure are rude and dimissive of other peoples sincerely held beliefs.
