I just watched the rerun of O'Reilly's 2001 interview with Kerry discussing the need to invade Iraq. In that interview, Kerry said the following: "I mean, I was in Safwan. I went there when the signing of the armistice took place at the end of the war." I've watched the video of the cease-fire signing at Safwan. It was still in a combat zone. I don't remember seeing anyone but military officers. Can anyone provide additional insight, or has Kerry lied again.

A therapist eventually advised us this condition was not treatable. I can help the victims, she said, not your parent.
This condition is marked by lack of empathy. They live in their own made up world. Fantasy. No one can reason with them. Tell them the truth and they call you a liar. Most despots/dictators share this mindset. My mother is 89 years of age and still clings to her fantasy world. She maintains she knows everything...she's superior...and yes, when I watch Kerry's body language, I have the same chilling feeling you do.
Laughing my a** off....we need a "Where's Kerry?" game and lots more of these pictures posted...err....faxed to CBS...

Jeez, I read the thread from beginning to end, and wind up getting flamed and trolled ("his hero Kerry!"). Lighten up, friends, and read posts #282 & #333. If you still prefer the original suspicions we all had yesterday and prefer not to accept the facts later dug up by the posters of #282 & #333, well, have a nice day.
I agree with you this is sloppy Kerry speaking. He was in Safwan in the same general time slot. He is trying to spin it a bit as though he was actually at the signing. Not a lie. Just his typical self-aggrandizement.
Why was Kerry there? For the photo opportunity. He voted against the Gulf War so this is how he gloms onto it's success. He was with a delegation of US Senators.
If you come to Miami 5 days after a hurricane hits and help with cleanup... can you say, "I was down there for hurricane Jean"? Or do you take all words literally?
BTW: I don't mind if Kerry gets pounded on this, about being "at the signing". Make HIM do the explaining, not me :)
