Electoral College Count for Sept. 24 (Bush 311, Kerry 217)
Electoral Vote ^ | Sept. 24, 2004 | Electoral-Vote,com

Posted on 09/24/2004 1:40:18 PM PDT by West Coast Conservative

Bush surges back ahead with 311 over Kerry's 217. It almost mirrors CNN's count of Bush with 301 and Kerry 237. The best part is Bush is ahead in Oregon and New Mexico and tied in Maryland!

I can't help but wonder what these professional pollsters will be doing for a living once this election is finished.

I live in MD and got an email yesterday from the BC04 campaign asking me to volunteer for their "final 72 hour" push. Frankly, if it's close enough here that my volunteering would make a difference, then we're already talking landslide victory...

Wow. Maybe Ehrlich's win in Maryland DID mean something after all!! Wow, it would be nice to think the state is changing its stance...I love Maryland, but have always bristled at the liberalism here.

This is as good a time as any to remind everyone to buy some fresh video tapes to record the debates - GWB will make mincemeat out of Kerry using Kerry's own words.

I predict these debates will be required viewing for students of political science throughout the century, at least.

Thank you. It's desperation-motivated. And it's just going to get worse in the next 40 days.

I really want Bush to clean the floor with Kerry in the debates. I have NO DOUBT that the material to slam dunk Kerry is ALL in Bush's court. Do my fellow Freepers really think Bush is that good on his feet that he will turn these debates into what we are hoping for? I believe the debates ARE going to be the deciding factor for a lot of people (not me). Help me feel more confident in Bush's debating skills.

A check of the data shows he does not have the latest and greatest info some of which will bring Ketchup head down even more.

The amount of vanity posts has increased about 100% over the past month it seems, along with multiple posting of the same stories.

Just remember, the media and Democrats still "misunderestimate" him and Bush has never lost a debate before.

I keep hearing that: "Bush has never lost a debate before." Excuse my ignorance, but is that true? I thought is was sarcasm. I didn't get to see 2000 debates. I live out in the bush of Alaska. My vote is hardly worth the time it takes, because Alaska has only 3 electoral votes and they are ALWAYS Republican, but we are consistent!

Bush is genuine, and he comes off that way. Even if he stumbles or misspeaks, his decency and resoluteness is apparent. He does not need to be a silver tongued orator.

Oh yes, Bush cleaned Gore's clock in the 2000 debates. He was wonderful.

The coming debates should be fascinating. Kerry will be in melt-down mode. I love to see him sweat.

I agree with that for sure. I am hoping that Kerry loses it and starts his grandstanding and fillibustering, because that's soooo his M.O.

Kewl! I am really looking forward to the debates this time around, since I actually have cable TV and get to see them!
