What would be the consequences of having another Democratic Administration?

Posted on 09/26/2004 6:26:32 AM PDT by HankReardon

I was among the 19% that voted for Ross Perot in '92, my vote otherwise would have been a Bush vote. At work the day after the election a young liberal co-worker asked my what terrible things did I think was going to happen just because Bill Clinton was president. All I could say was he seemed disingenious to me, untrustworthy, a people pleaser. Now in hindsight I know the answer. The military and intelligence agencies was under assault right away with downsizing of funds and personnel. Political leanings took precedence over ability and experience at high ranking positions. "Clinton thinking" people were installed. The greatest health care system in the world quickly came under assault with an attempt nationalize, govermnent fund the system. When the Republicans gained control in Congress in '94 Clinton was so concerned about his re-election chances that millions of dollars were illegally accepted from our enemies, the Communist Chinese military. This money moved from the PLA, to the Chinese Lippo Group in the Philippines, to the Democratic National Committee then to the Clinton/Gore campaign. It would be difficult to list all of what the Chinese bought with this money. In order for American companies to transfer civilian nuclear technology to another nation the President must first declare the nation a non-miltary threat and as not a threat for proliferation. No president was confident to do this concerning Communist China until Bill Clinton, he did. He also eased trade restrictions concerning other sensitive technologies. Even with this, another large Clinton/ Gore contributor, Loral Space was fined $14 million was illegally selling sensitive technologies to our enemy. It is estimated that China's nuclear and space program advanced decades ahead than it otherwise would have. The regime in North Korea are oppressive murderers, torturers and lying communists. The Clinton administration knowing all this in order to look as if they were achieving accomplishments pretended they were honest people and would not violate a treaty. The NK's were paid for their promise to dis-continue trying to develop nuclear weapons. They are now a suspected military nuclear power. An American citizen, Paula Jones was denied Justice by a sitting American President. Perjury was committed and then he used his power to try to cover this up. Crimes were committed, witness tampering, obstruction of Justice, Abuse of Power .... Many life long Democrats dishonored themselves, their families, their constituents, their country by public acclaiming the perpetration of these crimes by a sitting American President against an American citizen was simply a part of President Clinton's personnel life. President Clinton was on a perpetual campaign while in office, he was poll driven. After re-election he acted to enhance how history would portray him, building a legacy. He vetoed Welfare reform twice, only when the polls showed the people were in favor of this did he sign the Bill. President Clinton was the corrupt CEO of the Federal Government. Just as many corporations had to readjust their numbers after the departure of their corrupt CEO's the Federal Government also did this in August of 2001. It seems while the economy was slowing and heading toward recesion during the 2000 election inaccurate numbers from the government hid this fact from the electorate. The United States and it's interests around the world were under attack all through the Clinton Administration. Many incidents demonstrate his lack of political courage in substaining military casualties. Haitti, Somalia, Bosnia, Kosivo, the lack of a sufficient miltary response against Al Qaeda. Iraq was continuously in violation of the Cease Fire Treaty of '91. The "Gorelick Wall" was put in place which forbid the CIA and the FBI from sharing information. The United Staes was attacked less than 8 months into the following, over 3,000 innocent civilians died here in America because Bill Clinton was President. There has to be so much more of the consequences from having a Democratic Administration that I am leaving out. This is a long enough read anyway. It is proper and right that now we all speculate and consider what will be the consequences of having a Democratic Administrtion beginning in January 2005. My prediction is that we lose at least one major metropolitan area. This may happen anyway becaue of the recklessness of the Clinton 8 years but would be less likely to happen with a Democrat NOT in the Oval Office. A strong prediction? For me to answer my co-worker in November of '92 with the facts we now know would have also been a strong prediction.

"We are already there ..."

I agree.

My point was that, unlike the European countries, we can still turn it around.
It's not too late..........but it's getting there.

a Kerry Administration would more or less be The End Of The World As We Know It.

RW II would bring series change.
I'd like to think of it as a renewal not the end.

Revolutionary War II? Would be pointless to win militarily to afterward lose at the ballot box. Besides, we need no revolution, we already have "THE" more perfect union. I think the founding fathers must have been divinely inspired. What they have bestowed upon us must always be defended.

You voted for Ross Perot, and you spelled 'criticisms' wrong.

Thinking back to 1992, Ross Perot didn't brook any 'critisms'. He was a decent protest vote (althought the net effect was the awful Clintons), but he would have been a terrible President.

I have to agree, a President must have political know how, connections. The best thing about President Bush is he's intelligent enough to know that he doesn't know it all, he puts the right people in positions and lets them do their thing.

I agree completely with your post, but I would add that a JFK win would also embolden our other, arguably worse enemies-the EU. The always-moronic Chirac has openly stated that he expects a JFK win to enable him to pass a global tax (to wipe out "poverty") and the even more subhumanly stupid Schroeder (ignorant, as are most Europeans, of US constitutional law) stated a few weeks prior to Chirac's burblings that a JFK victory would put "back on the table" Kyoto, the ICC, who knows what else. (They really don't understand that a US president's signature means no more than mine-it's Congress that ratifies the treaties, and the last time Kyotocame up, it was rejected with 0 votes in favor just as a measure to be voted on-IOW, they didn't think Kyoto worthy to even be brought to an official vote.)

The Islamoscum want to conquer the world and inflict forced conversion, slavery, mutilation, and death and all nonmoslems. The Euroscum want a global government led by the UN, which they believe they can dominate via an alliance with the Turd World. I loathe 'em both.

You haven't even touched on the eight years of Clinton's judicial appointments either.

A lot of gloom and doom predicted, but some of it is wrongly predicated on the assumption that the House and Senate will go Democrat as well.

One of the things that saved Bill Clinton's posterior was the Republican revolution of 1994. It was that election that put the fear of God into Clinton and caused him to back off on the socialist policies with which he began his administration. The result was that the economy stayed good, and he rode that good economy to re-election in 1996. It helped keep his approval rating high, and saved him from the consequences of his Lewinsky folly.

Just read an excerpt from General Tommy Franks book, "The American Soldier." He said that during the review of what to do for a battle plan after 9/11, they looked at all of the contingency plans for Afghanistan. There were none! He said, "There simply had been no stomach in Washington for sustained face-to-face combat in this remote, primitive, landlocked country halfway around the world - no stomach since at least 1993."

WOW!

I look on Trent Lott as pretty much of a weak sister. But, when you look a little farther, he will *not* be remembered as the one who gave us president gore. For that he needs a medal.

IMO perot didn't really want to be president. He got what he wanted, he sank President GHW Bush.

A suicide bomber with a nuke in the truck's trunk is a very real possibility. Prevention is the only possibility of success.

Yeah, but I don't think he was happy with the end result, once he saw how the Clintons worked out. They were worse than anything he was complaining about.

Not to panic anyone, but a Kerry Administration would more or less be The End Of The World As We Know It.

Fearless prediction: If Kerry is elected the U.S. will launch futile pinprick cruise missile raids on Iranian nuclear facilities and the mullahs will go nuclear by 2006, latest.

Perot dropped out of the race then got back in and you still voted for him. All the rest of your ideas are a rationalization for this vote. You now look back in anger not at Klinton - but at your vote. We are angry at something someone else has taken from "our SELF." You gave in to a narrow vision of GHW Bush - no new taxes or some other thing and you voted for the most evil man to run for President in 50 years - Ross Perot.

When Perot asked Mort Myerson to take over Perot systems Myerson said in a Business 2.0 article, "The management and staff had ideas about failure that included the Phrase - take that loser out in the parking lot shoot him then drag his body around as an example." It took Myerson over a year to clean out the Perot attitude. This is who you voted for to lead the country. Now you are sorry. Me too because without Klinton all the rest of your ideas and issues would never have seen the light of day.
