MyWay News ^ | 9/28 | PAISLEY DODDS

This story is posted on Drudge under the title: "Haitian storm victims face a man-made disaster"

... The failure of Haiti's U.S.-backed government to disarm gangs, including the Cannibal Army that started the revolution that ousted President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, has created a climate of insecurity that jeopardizes lives after the calamity visited on Gonaives by Tropical Storm Jeanne....

...Caribbean leaders have refused to recognize the interim government, saying it unconstitutionally replaced a democratically elected president and because interim Prime Minister Gerard Latortue scandalized the region by hailing as "liberators" rebel leaders that include two convicted of murders during a military regime....

I half expect this to come up during the debate.

Kerry, may try to play it that way. It was his party that restored Aristide to power.

Sounds like a Somalia/Liberia horror show in our neck of the woods. My advice: Never surrender to anyone in the Cannibal Army.

Aristide is no longer president of Haiti? Then who is and why doesn't that person deserve any blame?

Here is the spin.

Basically, the Bush administration injected itself into a domestic despute resulting in Arestides departure, and leaving the country in the hands of a local (now proven inept) thug.

Which is what the CBC accussed the administration of doing: www.http://thehill.com/news/030204/haiti.aspx

They don't need your money; they're trying to sue France for reparations. They paid off the French after their independence, and now that they've squandered it, they want their money back (adjusted for inflation, interest, pain & suffering, Whitey sucks, etc).

Once you take a look at Drudge's picture this morning about what just happened to Haiti a few days ago (SEE: http://ak.imgfarm.com/images/ap/HAITI_STORM.sff_XWA107_20040928163829.jpg ) it's a bit difficult to say "not one cent".

Our foreign policy should be predicated upon how touching journalist photos are? Sorry but better that individual than more shots of American moms and Dads suffering the loss of their loved ones in the armed forces from turd world nationals.

Look, you're the one who thinks "cents" must always equal "troops".

The Haitians should thank God that you are not the one in charge of American disaster assistance programs ~ you'd have that woman gunned down for double dipping in the grits.
