Caller to Hannity (vanity)
Hannity Radio Show

Posted on 09/29/2004 1:56:00 PM PDT by pookie18

A man called Sean Hannity after 4 PM ET today. Said he lived in Naples, FL, but originally lived in MA. He said that Kerry lost his first congressional race when networks aired a film of Kerry (in uniform) burning & urinating on an American flag. Sean was skeptical. The guy suggested checking with possibly John O'Neill or Howie Carr in MA. Anyone ever hear about anything like this?

Former Congressman Dornan made this accusation on Hannity or Hardball in late August.

I heard the caller as well. Does anyone know how to get a hold of Dornan? He hates Kerry enough to go the extra mile.

Just sent an e-mail to Howie Carr. Sean said he'd call John O'Neill. The caller seemed to think that someone in MA might have some knowledge about it.

I heard this was supposed to come out about a month ago (right after the Republican convention) by the swifties or another similar group. They may be saving this as an October surprise, and saving up funds for a major media blitz.

Someone posted a thread the other day asking Freepers to speculate about potential "October Surprises" in this campaign. Most of the speculation revolved around Osama bin Laden or similar terrorist-related developments, but a couple of them involved Kerry's Vietnam or post-Vietnam record.

One post in particular was incredibly devastating -- even more devastating than this story. I'll refrain from posting details, just in case there's any chance in hell it is true -- and because it is entirely speculative in nature.

" Former Congressman Dornan made this accusation on Hannity or Hardball in late August."

Dornan had Kerry pegged as an anti American dirtbag from the get go.
He trailed Kerry at the VVAW rally in DC, posing as a participant, so he could keep an eye on Kerry.
I recall hearing Dornan say that he had pictures of Kerry watching an American flag burn and doing nothing to stop it.
And that's the last we've heard from him.
Hopefully he's just waiting for the right moment or has given it to the swiftvets.

Release of his dishonorable discharge evidence could also be an October Surprise. I only say it could be? ;o)

I'm sure someone some where actually got all his military records linked?

Howie Carr stated that he has searched all data banks of the Lowell (MA) Sun and Boston Herald and could not find any photos. He did acknowledge that this is an old rumor, however, but as for now just a rumor.
He also disclosed the startup of a new 527: Windsurfing Electricians for Truth to counter Kerry's GMA claim that he surfs with regular blue collar guys.

If Kerry was present in a ceremony of flag burning and this has been captured on film, this election is over.

After his Senate testimony in Washington, he was featured on "60 Minutes," shared top billing with John Lennon at a peace rally in New York and was offered his own talk show by television executives who wanted to make him a voice for the '60s generation. (He turned the idea down as "too fluffy.")

******

Page 348: During the "winter soldier investigation" in Detroit, Kerry "read Jonathan Schell's The Village of Ben Suc (1967), a brutal account of how a Vietnamese community was destroyed by U.S. armed forces."

Page 424: After losing a congressional race in '72, "Kerry read novels and built model airplanes and ships to distract himself from thinking about the immediate future. He also painted a little."

Page 54: Julia Thorne, who became Kerry's first wife, nicknamed him "Pterodactyl" at Yale "because his long face made him look like a dinosaur."

Page 166: Kerry's radio-call sign in Vietnam was "Rock Jaw."

Page 302: Bill Rood, another officer, called Kerry "Ichabod," as in Crane.

OK, so he was a little pompous:

Page 31: "He was only eighteen years old and he knew just about everything about politics, particularly civil rights," says Danny Barbiero, a fellow St. Paul's student and a lifelong Kerry friend. "That annoyed some people, no doubt about it."

Page 244: Before a particularly dangerous raid in Vietnam, Kerry in his journal "noted for posterity that in fact he felt optimistic, in the same sense that a young Winston Churchill did when he fought with Britain's Malakand Field Force in what is now northern Pakistan: 'Bullets—to a philosopher, my dear Mama—are not worth considering. Besides, I am so conceited I do not believe the gods would create so potent a being as myself for so prosaic an ending.' "

Or even aloof:

Page 299-300: Larry Thurlow, a Swift boat captain from Garden City, Kan.: "John was sharp as a tack. … But he came from a background most of us couldn't understand. … And he was both distant and foolhardy."

Page 157: James Wasser, one of the men on Kerry's boat, concedes: "Some people were suspicious of him because he would talk to himself into a tape recorder."
