I need the help any Freeper in the Miami area this Thursday night. The plan is to apply a spray-on tan, the cheaper the better, 4 to 5 hours before the debate, then gain access to debate, and sit in a particuliarly ideal location for camera shots. It takes about 6 hours for most fake tans to set in after application, so one can get the fake tan around 3PM EST, easily obtain access without anyone noticing the fake tan, but during the debate around 8PM to 9PM EST a decidedly orange glow will appear.
Please remember that this is purely a peaceful voluntary demonstration that I am requesting not the same tactics employed by the Green Peace thugs.
Hehe, that sounds like a pretty funny idea.
I'd also like to suggest for those not into spray painting themselves that they may want to hunt down the local reporters that will be hanging around the debate hall and make them selves "convienently available" to those journalist who might be looking for the opinion from the "man on street" directly after the debate.
Cheap, fast, no waiting and washes off:
Homemade Halloween Makeup Recipe
This is very cheap to make, so you may want to give it a try before the big night to make sure you and your child are happy with the result. The children will feel the makeup (it isn't uncomfortable -- it feels much like wearing normal makeup does) but some children don't like the feeling of something on their face and will rub at it incessantly, making a big mess of it. This advice holds for homemade AND store bought Halloween makeup.
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp solid shortening (cooking shortening)
food color drops
Directions:
Mix the first two ingredients. One batch is enough to cover a child's face -- the recipe can easily be doubled.
To make different colors, divide the white makeup into small portions on old margarine container lids. Add drops of food coloring (a bit at a time) and stir with a plastic spoon or popsicle stick.
Apply makeup to the skin using fingers, cotton balls, makeup sponges or even clean paint brushes.
After applying makeup pat the skin gently with baby powder (use cotton balls or makeup sponges).
I should add that to avoid an overly bright orange color from food coloring, mix yellow, a little red and then just a teeny-tiny drop of green.
The green "browns" it slightly to give a nice artifical blaze-orange tan tone...:)
Does anyone know how long it takes for a fake tan to appear? I have been told about 5 hours, but I am not sure.
lmaooooooooooooo. If I were there and not in CA I would be there. Good luck to you. We will be watching for you on the air. Have a blast.
Airbrush "tans" are instant.
Actual color is sprayed on directly.
The kind that works with skin chemistry takes a while, probably several hours or more.
Try the makeup recipe above.
Wal*Mart and other stores already have pre-mixed "grease paint" type halloween makeup on the shelves.
Most acrylic craft paints are non-toxic and are used for kid's "face painting".
The possibilities are endless....:)

Go in and tell them you want face paint.
I'm sorry but I am not in the Miami area, that is why I am asking for help of any Freepers in the area. I thought that this would be a great idea and I just wanted to get the ball rolling.
Okay.
If anybody tunes in and wants to do it, they've got directions and ideas.
Good luck.
If I weren't 1500 miles away, I'd do it...:)
That's rich... lol
I think for the best effect only a nice dark "W" emblazed on the forehead would be the eyecatcher.
Nah, I would prefer a giant "Kerry" tan-line on the forehead.
I knew as soon as i seen his skin-tone what he had done i have cousins who made the same mistake with this stuff the mistake is just putting it on ! the stuff is outrageously orange on a light skin tone !
Or how about apply the tan only 1/2 of your face so that the contrast of the orange shade and lily white is blatantly apparent!
Why not do something that would carry more of any impact - like carrying signs that say you support the current administration - vote Bush.
Just ignore flip-flop.
If the networks are forced to talk about his tan during the post-debate shows it will cause irrevocable harm to the Kerry campaign by searing, searing into the common viewer's memory that Kerry is an uberdork.
what a remarkably mature idea, how old are you?
this election is about ideas not cosmetics.
Thanks for the ping!
