XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX

DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?

Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:

"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."

So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?

What did Kerry place on the podium?

Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.

[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]

A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.

"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."

I think someone did come up and take his notes too, but what caught my eye with kerry's guy, he was in a real hurry..i remember thinking, what's kinda weird, but now maybe we know why.

Check with Ross Perot. He is an expert on detecting earpieces.

Yes President Bush is a man of Character.

It is still sooooo horribly outrageous.

EVEN WITH this outrage, however, President Bush won. The best Skerry could do was convince people he was "Presidential."

Now we know he is simply a cheat. But then we knew it all along. Let's hope the rest of the nation (those who care) figure it out in time.

Of course, we live in a society where cheating has become sort of mainstream (not here - in our nation as a whole) so cheating is not going to cause as much of a row as some of us think it would or should.

So the emphasis should be how well our President did - despite the Skerrilous one cheating...... despite dealing with the murder of 35 children in Iraq that day..... despite a day of touring and comforting those hurt by Hurricane Jeanne.....despite working hard every single day instead of playing daily and taking an occiasional day off from playing to do something serious....as Skerry/Edwards/Clintons routinely do.

He took something out of his pocket. The video doesn't lie.

Thanks for the link, yours worked for me [dial up].

But it looks to me that both FnKerry and the President unfolded a paper.

What do you think?

Let's put it another way.

If CBS memos are forgeries, the new allegations contained within lack any movement.

If Kerry won the debate on STYLE, which is all he won on, and he used cheat sheets to produce that style and throw G.W. off his game, that means any gains on STYLE are lost.

That would be even better! But my point is that according to the rules, John Fraud Kerry CHEATED and it doesn't matter what he smuggled in and pulled from his pocket.

What happened to Kerry's contraband after the debate? I wish I had the complete debate video now.

I'm also thinking about funny things I noticed during the debate. Did anyone notice at the beginning of the debate, when Bush was speaking, Kerry was making like he was writing things down - but he was doing this with what I saw at the time as strange exaggerated arm movements?

"I wonder if it was a pair of reading glasses, or did he not use any?"

Don't think he used any. Even so, if he did want to use reading glasses, he should have given them to the moderator to put on the podium for him, given they were not allowed to bring any tangibles to the podium. Also, he would not need to face away from the moderator and audience if he was being honest.

Bringing a note card with pre-written notes....giving yourself an advantage....which is against the rules, is not a big deal?

some people don't know the importance of a cheat sheet

you list specific talking points on it that you want to bring up and just by glancing over it, you will be reminded that " oh yea i have to talk about this and that this and that "

this is very serious, kerry clearly unfolded a piece of paper from the boston globe video
