Oops. Here is the Fresh Air link.

Brought to us, of course, as per the link URL, by the friendly left-wing folks at NPR.

Which reminds me.......defund the Left!!!

CLARIFICATION

When I said "he" in my last post, I was referring to the talk show caller, not Lawrence.

"I heard Lawrence O'Donnell shout on today's TMG that he could care less that the troops are demoralized by Kerry's incessant cynicism about the Iraq war."

MSM coward Lawrance O'Donnell is one more "articulate" assh*le Democrat whose job is to crush for ANY reason American patriotism.

Nobody has this on TiVo or VHS? Transcript will catch some of the exchange, but only video will do it justice. We should get it up on the web. Only way it will have an impact.

Lawrence O'Donnell is typical of many in the media who are anti-military. They just can't understand the sacrifice so they despise those who are different.
I'm so sick of the MSM. If we lose this war or this election I'd like to see a widespread boycott of the MSM.

Waiting for a transcript, but I heard Lawrence O'Donnell shout on today's TMG that he could care less that the troops are demoralized by Kerry's incessant cynicism about the Iraq war. Essentially he said they should keep their mouths shut and fight. I almost fell out of my chair. Did anybody else hear the exchange? [Emphasis added.]

Which reminds me......I didn't see anything in that O'Donnell bio that indicated military service, did you?

Wonder what branch tough-guy Larry served in?

Seeing as the 'Rats are making a big deal of the fact that Cheney, Gingrich, and other Republicans were never in.

Which they couldn't say about Bush and Dole, or Bush Senior.

I remember a late night talk show host caller back in 2000 saying he thought it wasn't right for the military to get to vote for their commander-in-chief (voting against Gore was a form of "disobedience").

That makes sense. How about a compromise? Active duty soldiers are not allowed to vote. Neither are people who didn't serve at all. Former soldiers would be the ideal people to vote on a commander-in-chief, right? No conflict of interest, but with firsthand knowledge on what impact their decision will have. Since the esteemed caller is so deeply concerned with helping military discipline, I'm sure he'd be delighted to stop voting.

Well, I see where you are coming from -

But - I do not believe "any" war can really be compared with another.

But - if one must - I believe the circumstances surrounding this war are closer to WWII than they ever could be to Nam - and with that thought - what would it have been like if we had pulled our troops out after losing thousands at Normandy - ? The crooked X anyone - ?

just my thoughts -

Good. The public needs to see exactly where Kerry supporters stand on this issue. Kerry is no friend of American troops.

We are becoming a weak nation. We lost what? 4,000 men in a couple of hours on the beaches of France? How many Americans had the Germans killed prior to June 6, 1944? A couple dozen on the high seas? We lose 3,000 civilians in an hour on 9/11 and just three years later we have pink pantywaistes getting squeamish.

Al-Qaeda might be right about this nation being to soft to respond to sustained attacks. If we elect Kerry, we'll find out if we are turning yellow...
