Naturally, the DNC news channels will parrot whatever he says.
I wouldn't be too sure of that. He has had his knickers in a twist over the Iraq War, since Bush's preemption fails McLaughlin's Catholic doctrine of "just war". McLaughlin was equally hostile to Clinton's air war over Kosovo, if not moreso -- although I agreed with the Clintonoids about that one.
Turning the other cheek in an era of nuclear proliferation will get millions killed, but McLaughlin can't bring himself to see that the Catholic teaching has been overreached by Edward Teller and the hydrogen bomb. So he goes on bitterly opposing Bush and the war and generally playing Sir Thomas More to Bush's Henry VIII on the subject of war and peace. Except that nobody is calling for McLaughlin's head -- and he's got Belial sitting right next to him on the show, in the person of Larry O'Donnell, agreeing with everything he says that is critical of Bush and the war. That ought to be a clue that he's wrong, right there.
From the post: "Were the troops in Vietnam 'demoralized' when Nixon campaigned on pulling them out? Of course not."
Why do people insist on matching the war in Iraq to what went on with the Vietnam war - ?
By the time it got to Nixon, I believe the troops were well beyond "demoralized" by what the likes of Kerry's kind had loaded into the mix - along with all the flower children -
Guy is such a phony it makes my ears bleed.
Listen to this Fresh Air piece on the flop Mr. Sterling. Listening to O'Donnell is like watching the grass grow, but it is illuminating nonetheless.

Please limit profanity.
Aid and comfort to the enemy in my book
His lack of patriotism is the least of his problems apparently.

Oops. Here is the Fresh Air link.

The part about how it is impossible to write provocative conservative characters into the show because they only say "no" while Dems are more "activist." Guess Nat'l Defense would not quite fall into O'Donnell's stereotype...

This jackass forgets that these brave men and women are volunteers not draftees. Of course if he keeps popping off at the chops and pi$$ing these great Americans off, Kerry will need to bring back the draft. I knows dozens of troops who are planning to bail ASAP if that treasonous ba$tard gets elected. The majority of the kids in the military worship our commander-n-chief because they know he really respects and cares about them--and he's a man of courage and conviction.
If Mr. O'Donnel gets his way, he ends up with a demoralized military that "could care less" about protecting his sorry ass.
Nice attitude Lawrence. What's next...military members should not have the right to vote? I remember a late night talk show host caller back in 2000 saying he thought it wasn't right for the military to get to vote for their commander-in-chief (voting against Gore was a form of "disobedience").
Thanks for the head's up... my local pbs station was doing an auction all weekend and didn't air TMG.
I AGREE.
idiot media stooges of the puppet masters. YUK!
He was really cocky on the show this week.
But, then again McLaughlin wasn't much better. If it wasn't for Tony Blankley - I don't think there would have been a Bush supporter on there
By the way, you've noticed, I suppose, that Kerry is now surrounded by Clintoon people? Oh, yeah! Sounds like Slick and his butch are hedging their bets on '08 just a little bit!
McLaughlin went off the deep end of the liberal pier after 9-11. He hates GWB and makes no bones about it.
some here are saying "you can't support the troops if you don't support the war"
Who?

It is instructive that you cite one of President Regans few glaring mistakes to buttress your point.
