I urge all freepers to see the story of a brave Iraqi teenager, known as Steve-O. See the link above for the full story.
This fine young man turned in his own father and numerous Iraqi insurgents to US Forces.
I will be contacting Senator Zell Miller and Representative Phil Gingrey tomorrow, urging them to introduce special legislation granting this fine young man immediate American Citizenship. I feel sure that President Bush would sign such legislation.
I urge EVERY Freeper to do likewise with their elected officials. Let's see if Freeper unity can show this young man the same faith he showed in our soldiers.
Patriots UP! Let's do the right thing for Steve-O. He did the right thing for us.

This kid (and the operative word here is KID) risked his life to help American soldiers.
If he were an adult, I'd say you are correct.
His mom is dead, his father (the insurgent) is in jail and will likely be killed by the new government. Many of his family and neighbors would kill him if they got the chance.
I say let this ONE faithful child have the Blessings of Liberty here in the US.
He has suffered enough.
While I share your opinion of Islam it would seem, that this kid is more Army than he is Muslim. At 13 if he were taken care of by a good American family, I strongly suspect that he would likely turn away from Islam. Keep in mind that the kid's roll models are US soldiers -- not his father or his imam or even Mohammad it would seem.
I am 100% opposed to Islam, and I feel that conversion is a good thing. Just my $.02, but for my part I would be willing to see him granted a student visa with which to study and, if he chooses, seek American citizenship. He has after all given up family and friends to save the lives of American troops -- something that definately garners my respect.
He's shown heroism.
I'm tired of importing more problems into America. Let him stay in Iraq and fight for what he believes. He can be adopted by good Iraqis who care. He'll grow up to make a difference. Here, he'd just raise more muslim children and further contribute to our multicultural decline. I have to think about my own country first now.

Make that citizenship and a parade and you got a deal.
Highly unlikely. The second he steps into Iraq, he'll get his throat cut. Is that what you want for a kid who put himself at risk to help to protect the lives of US soldiers?
You ever heard "Go ye unto all the World, and preach My Gospel to EVERY Creature"?
Give this kid half a chance, and I bet he would be a good, Christian, American patriot.
I have no problem with allowing immigrants in, those that want to be Americans.
What country did YOUR ancestors come from? Did THEY "contribute to the multicultural decline"?
Think about America's situation today for a second. How did it happen that we have Anglo-Saxons looking at minority status by 2050 or earlier? How did it come to be that we have millions and millions of Islamic people here today? How did we arrive at so much cultural diversity that now it's not even possible to have a Christmas party in a public school?
Because we thought we could change the world by bringing people here instead of requiring them to solve their own problems.
Today, America has its own problems. Who is looking out for us?
He already did.
Steve-O is prime canidate for "interpreter duty". Pay him, house him and keep him safe. He's an asset to his own country. Why take him out ?
Durn. I'll gladly CARRY this boy on my shoulders during the parade!
Right on. He's right where he can help us the most.
