Interesting numbers, indeed.
A national poll released today by the Sacred Heart University Polling Institute indicates that despite who they plan to support on November 2, 2004, 69.9% believe President Bush will be re- elected
Meanwhile, 70% of all Americans, or nearly half, need remedial math courses.
The whole poll is interesting. Different to say the least!
Sounds like the school polled a lot of Republicans.
Not that there's anything wrong with that!
But the number for the prez are really big.
Isn't 69.9 almost 3/4?
Less than three fourths really but not too much less!
Well they are Connecticut based and Connecticut is a very liberal state and is going totally for Kerry.
For further clarification go to the reporting by the mediots of last night's trip to the Woodshed....er tie!
Pray for W and Our Troops
My husband's theory all along has been that no matter what some of these Dems tell the pollster (i.e. they identify their party as Dem and then feel obligated to say they're voting for Kerry), in the secret of the voting booth, they'll vote for a known (Bush) versus an unknown (Kerry).
That premise would account for these numbers.
It's only the media who doesn't get it.
There still is a heck of alot of trouble ahead.
Bush Bounce to the Top!
BBTTT!
Uh no offense -- but no.
3/4 is .75, so the 69.9 is 'closer' to 2/3 (.66667) but it's actually 7/10 (.70) when you 'round up' and drop the .9 decimal.
You did know this, right?
(again, NO offense)
If you listen past the B.S. and talking points of most Democrats, you get the feeling they believe Pres. Bush will win too. It's just a matter of percentages, a big win would be devastating.
but 69.9 DEFINITELY wouldn't be "almost" 2/3s... It would be "more than 2/3ds...." So to retrain the phrase "Almost [fill in the number] think Bush will win." The logical choice would be 3/4s. No?
No, there's a bunch of Dems who think Bush will win anyway.
That is exactly right. Liberals know this because they have been pulling this trick for years. Everyone wants to be the person who voted for the winner. It even happens in the past. JFK barely won in 1960, yet everyone seems to now claimed they voted for him. Conversely, Nixon won two elections, one by a monumental landslide, but now you can't find any swing voters who voted for him when obviously they all did.
