Examples: Bush forgets he owns a tree-growing company. Kerry again inflates job-loss figures.

Summary
Both candidates played loose with the facts at the second Presidential Debate in St. Louis Oct. 8. Bush claimed Kerry's health-care plan would lead to rationing and "ruin the quality of health care in America," a claim unsupported by neutral experts. Kerry claimed the Bush administration had forced the Army Chief of Staff to retire for pushing to send more troops to Iraq, but in fact he retired on schedule.
We offer a sampler of the dubious and sometimes false statements made by each of the candidates.

"We should clarify: the $84 in Schedule C income was from Bush's Lone Star Trust, which is actually described on the 2001 income-tax returns as an "oil and gas production" business. The Lone Star Trust now owns 50% of the tree-growing company, but didn't get into that business until two years after the $84 in question. So we should have described the $84 as coming from an "oil and gas" business in 2001, and will amend that in our earlier article."
Well, Dick Cheney trusts them enough to direct voters to their website.
What are their references for checking the facts? Only half way through the page and seems to me their distorting.
Actually, Cheney mentioned "factcheck.com" instead of ".org". The .com site redirects to George Soros' anti-Bush site. Cheney screwed up.
I think factcheck.org should not be counted on to give us the facts. If Bush had made a gaff like that using factcheck's unreliable "facts" then the press would be on him like white on rice.
They seem left leaning to me. This has been brought up before on FR.
They list sources at the bottom of the page.
My wife has told me her country's government said their government run healthcare system "lets you choose the doctors," just as Kerry did last night. Needless to say that her country's healthcare system is corrupt now and doctors help those with money first.
But never trust a web site that debunks your sides talking points. That's FR rule 465.11(a).
Lone Star Trust is a blind trust, so Bush probably didn't know he was invested in a timer growing company.
There is a huge difference between trees that are grown for commercial sale, (ie., nurseries, planting in new developments, etc.) and timber, which indiciates to me the trees would be grown for lumber, wood products.
John Kerry LOST this election with that exchange.
Mr & MRs Joe Sixpack , I garauntee, sat there and went "WTF??? $*4 makes him a small business? What is this moron blabbering about?"
Bush then followed that with a home run --his incredulous tone was absolutely perfect "I own a timber company? That's news to me. Need some wood?"
Right at that point John Kerry was DEFINED as a whiney say anything to get elected pompous liberal LIAR!
Bush then capped that moment later in the debate with the equally memorable - "you can run, but you can't hide"
In Canada you can wait more on an average of 7 weeks to see a GP...no thanks.

When mentioning the Duelfer report they quote the New York Times. Why not quote the report itself? It's online for anyone to read.
GW had the crowd laughing at Kerry last night. Kerry probably thought they were laughing with him.
I've lost my FR Code Book of Internet Blogging Procedures (FRCBIBP), but I seem to recall it was Rule 465.12(d) on page 3,119. Are your sure about that 11(a)?
