This article says so much about Kerry, I have to wonder if the NYT is aware of what they exposed.

Growing up with 'rich' relatives - living a modest life in envy of family who provide summer vacations and schooling - no wonder he went through life making stuff up - telling lie on top of lie to get what he wanted.

There is a 23-room town house in Washington, an 88-acre Pittsburgh area estate, a private Gulfstream jet and a personal staff of six, including caretakers and a cook.

I'd be willing to bet my 401k that the they have more than 6 on their personal staff. I'm sure every mansion has a caretaker and a maid; he has a butler, we know; I'm sure they have a cook, a couple of pilots, someone to look after the yachts, etc.

In the late-80's I was living in Massachusetts and was acquainted with a member of the Forbes family. He also was a modest guy, an engineer at one of the computer companies.

But he sure as heck did not like John F. Kerry (IIRC, at the time he was Asst. AG). In fact we'd rib him about JFK just to see the sour look he'd put on. He did not consider JFK to be a "real" Forbes.

Kerry's apparently bogus claims to have run in the Boston Marathon in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

I've confirmed with my brother who's run the Marathon several times as a "bandit" (unregistered), that it would be impossible for anyone to forget which Marathon they'd run in.

Kerry was on the verge of declaring bankruptcy while he stalked Teresa Heinz down in DC. She was his last hope. DC gossip columns were full of his antics. Foolish woman that she is, she fell for his golddigging. No wonder he was never in the senate...he had to spend all his time crawling around on his hands and knees, convincing her he hadn't married her for her money.

And you notice they bought that Louisburg Square townhouse in Boston after they got married. Guess who anteed up the lion's share? And why? Because he needed a pied a terre to call 'home' so he could say he wasn't being 'kept'. Let's not forget who handed over the $6 million mortgage on that house to kick start his presidential drive during the primaries, too. If he wins, she's bought him the presidency. Sad day for this country, for western civilization. This article is ridiculous, by the way, with gthat nonsense that he's frugal, Please! But it does point out that the only thing that matters to him is her money. If she lost it all, how long does anyone think he'd stay with her?

According to the news, MamaT is releasing her tax returns this coming week. We will see. Presumably not a full disclosure. It would be a nice touch if Kerry's military and medical records were released, too, but that would be too much to expect.

Yes, that is the salient point. None of this money was earned by either one of these two monumental poseur snobs, but by the late John Heinz. It will be amusing to see how TerAYsa acts when Kerry loses big time. She's got John Heinz up on a pedestal. Where will Kerry be? The rest of the country will immediately assign him well deserved nonperson status, a la AlGore. How will TerAYsa handle that? Separate hotel rooms? Oh, the humanity! Kerry will be sleeping on some friend's couch and chasing another stupid rich woman before long.
