Folks,

Ohio is as segmented as one state vs another. For example, Indiana and Illinois. Next to each other but philosophically on different planets. There is no law that says a philosophical schism has to only take place across state borders. It can be within the state and that's what Ohio has.

Our Ohio Freepers live in the conservative areas, most likely. They can't imagine Bush losing, from what they see. But they don't see Cleveland and that is the explanation.

Believe the polls. They have a margin of error so if Bush is reading ahead 3 pts in several polls, there HAS to be one now and then that says it is tied. The margin is way too close for comfort. Ohio lost EVs this past census because people left the state. They may have been responsible Republicans who went elsewhere for work.

We have a major fight on our hands in Ohio, and it probably decides the election. Everyone nearby MUST pour your efforts into it.

SOS Ken Blackwell is holding strong.
We have a conservative Supreme Court, so he will win.
He only wants those who can prove they live in a precinct get a provitional ballot, and to prove their residence.
The Dems are playing the "dumb" card, and it isn't going to fly.
We have a problem with our RINOs butting up against Blackwell, so Rove needs to get them in line to support him.

No, honey, it is realistic.
He's pulling in Sean Penn and Danny Glover to gloss over his record, but he is in trouble.
His district (I used to live there) is made up of conservative Dems (re: Reagan Democrats) and Eastern Europeans. His change on abortion got him spanked by our only newspaper, and his absence from the House (and lack of any notable work) also got lots of press.
So, while he was following his "dream" of being President, the hometown paper exposed his sorry butt and he may lose his seat.
40% to 44% last time I saw the polls.
Never, ever been that close before.
His ex-military, Conservative challenger is Ed Herman, if you wish to donate (or know anybody who does).

I only posted it so Ohio conservatives don't take anything for granted.

Good point.

Yeah they should have just waited for the courts to give it to them. Gay marriage that is.

Answer: Zero. Is it possible that Bush can win without Ohio? Yes, but it is very unlikely. Bush needs Ohio, period.

How about capturing back New Hampshire? and picking up an EV from Maine? That'll do and I think it is as likely of happening as that of Ohio being LOST. There are many people in many states that should rightfully feel that THEIR state's outcome is just as critical as the next.

Well, the flip side is, deny there is gravity long enough then walk off a cliff and see what happens. Kerry is going off a cliff in Ohio.

Ok Ohioans, especially those in the southern and central parts of the state, get as many of your friends and neighbors out to the polls. Take off work if you must. Get as many elderly and infirm registered Republicans to the polls as you can. The voter fraud from "new voters" in Cuyahoga County and the college towns is going to be intense.

And get honest people as poll watchers.

I don't have numbers, but spoke today to a national campaign staffer. We will win WI. Based on our own campaign polling. Also: regardless of what is posted at RCP, Michels is trailing Finegold by 5 pts, only, State and National GOP is pouring money and staff into WI for Michels.

And we understand margins needed to overcome fraud and we are working actively in targeted precincts to detect and deter it.

This year, from what I have seen of the internal numbers w/in the polls that have been published (state polls), Ds have fewer black votes, fewer Hispanic votes, fewer Jewish votes and fewer female votes. Some will stay home and enough seem to be voting for Bush to increase our margins over 2000.

Do not get complacent. Personally, I am passing this on to the volunteers and telling them not to publicize it. It motivates the volunteers and helps them motivate the voters.

Also, in WI, our phone surveys of GOP voters in my single county shows a vast majority supporting the entire ticket.

I have seen several polls, and they give Bush a small lead.
