Marketing ploy.
Justin Martyr wrote that anyone who wanted to verify the facts of Christ's trial and crucifixion could check out Pilate's report to Caesar. Pilate most assuredly wrote a report to Caesar.

Amen, bro. There is enough light for those that wish to see and enough obscurity for those who refuse to see (Blaise Pascal).
When facts are lacking you have to rely on faith!
I'm reading a very interesting book right now called I Don't Have Enough Faith to be An Atheist, by Norman L. Geisler and Frank Turek (Crossway Books, 2004). It systematically examines logic, science, and history to demonstrate that it takes a stronger act of faith- in the face of all the evidence- to not believe in God than it does to believe that God exists. Many willfuly choose not to believe. I recommend the book.
I'd hate to be you on judgement day.
Wow...I didn't know Josephus had written about Christ... in many chat threads I've read from different sites, people were citing Josephus' "LACK" of written commentary on Christ as evidence that Jesus did not exist! I guess people had better get to know Josephus a little better. His acknowledgement of Jesus as the Christ to men may have stood him in with good graces with the Father as well!
I posted some of the names of the historians you cited.
The movie sounds pretty lame low budget cheesy plot. The guy would've been better off making an educational michael moore documentary style film that goes through the case against jesus point by point. I can imagine a very poor defense.
Me, "God won't help deciples of the beast."
Aquinafan, "He will if they repent and turn to Him"
The sad truth is many of these types DO NOT want to repent or turn to God. Time reveals all.
and that is a matter of the heart and faith.
i will take my chances, eh?
with the One who made birds that sing when i am sad and rainbows that shine through torrents and little tiny bright purple seashells that wait for me to discover them on the beach and dogs that put their dark shiny noses on your lap and roll gentle brown eyes up toward your face when nobody on the earth seems to care if you live or die.
yes, i will take my chances:>
"Be of good comfort, Master Ridley, and play the man. We shall this day light such a candle, by God's grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out."
For any thinking, reading person, one question about Christianity has been settled beyond any reasonable doubt. Jesus of Nazareth was an actual, living, breathing historical person.

faith is a gift
god stirs our hearts with beauty to encourage us to see he who is beautiful...
He's not the antichrist; more like the "anti-Mel."
