To: ohioWfan; All

amen ohio and amen all,
grace to you brethren!!!!

Ps 27:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war should rise against me, In this I will be confident.
4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.
7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8 When You said, "Seek My face," My heart said to You, "Your face, LORD, I will seek."
9 Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me.
11 Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence.
13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.
14 Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!
(NKJV)

Dear Lord,
we pray for our dear brother and Your servant, george walker bush.
Lord, may he have strength in Your hands and courage through Your grace.
we pray the evil despots cannot blind the general public with their lying mouths.
Lord,we pray for all of the defenders of freedom,we pray for their safety and courage hunting down evil.

Ro 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(NKJV)

"The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost."
- John 14:26

This age is peculiarly the dispensation of the Holy Spirit, in which Jesus
cheers us, not by his personal presence, as he shall do by-and-by, but by
the indwelling and constant abiding of the Holy Ghost, who is evermore the
Comforter of the church. It is his office to console the hearts of God's
people. He convinces of sin; he illuminates and instructs; but still the
main part of his work lies in making glad the hearts of the renewed, in
confirming the weak, and lifting up all those that be bowed down. He does
this by revealing Jesus to them. The Holy Spirit consoles, but Christ is
the consolation. If we may use the figure, the Holy Spirit is the
Physician, but Jesus is the medicine. He heals the wound, but it is by
applying the holy ointment of Christ's name and grace. He takes not of his
own things, but of the things of Christ. So if we give to the Holy Spirit
the Greek name of Paraclete, as we sometimes do, then our heart confers on
our blessed Lord Jesus the title of Paraclesis. If the one be the
Comforter, the other is the Comfort. Now, with such rich provision for his
need, why should the Christian be sad and desponding? The Holy Spirit has
graciously engaged to be thy Comforter: dost thou imagine, O thou weak and
trembling believer, that he will be negligent of his sacred trust? Canst
thou suppose that he has undertaken what he cannot or will not perform? If
it be his especial work to strengthen thee, and to comfort thee, dost thou
suppose he has forgotten his business, or that he will fail in the loving
office which he sustains towards thee? Nay, think not so hardly of the
tender and blessed Spirit whose name is "the Comforter.
" He delights to give the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of
praise for the spirit of heaviness.
Trust thou in him, and he will surely comfort thee till the house of
mourning is closed for ever, and the marriage feast has begun.

Psalm 109:28.
Let them curse, but bless thou (or, they will curse and thou wilt bless).

CHS:
Their cursing will then be of such little consequence that it will not matter a straw. One blessing from the Lord will take the poison out of ten thousand curses of men. When they arise, let them be ashamed. They lift up themselves to deal out another blow, to utter another falsehood, and to watch for its injurious effects upon their victim, but they see their own defeat and are filled with shame. But let thy servant rejoice. Not merely as a man protected and rescued, but as God's servant in whom his master's goodness and glory are displayed when he is saved from his foes. It ought to be our greatest joy that the Lord is honoured in our experience; the mercy itself ought not so much to rejoice us as the glory which is thereby brought to him who so graciously bestows it.

Father, we do request that you apply this fine Biblical truth to our fine President.

alpha,

It's good to see the other wing of the CHS fan club in attendance.I really liked this line you cited:

If we may use the figure, the Holy Spirit is the Physician, but Jesus is the medicine.

Agreeing with you in prayer tonight, ohioWfan. I have also prayed that the President be able to overcome the venue tomorrow, because it is one which makes him uncomfortable.

I will be praying for an hour tomorrow, and also throughout the day. May God look after and bless President Bush.

A good point to mention in particular the venue, Miss Marple.

I will remember that as I pray for him.

Thank you!

Joining with all of you in prayer for our President, our military and their families, the debate, the elections, and for our nation.

Also, asking for special prayers for a very special member of our military, his wife, and his children, including the 5 news ones ...

Wounded Marine Now Father of Quintuplets

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - A Marine who is in a hospital bed recovering from wounds he suffered in Iraq is now a father five times over.

While Sgt. Joshua Horton, 28, recuperated at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, his wife, Taunacy, delivered quintuplets Monday in Naperville.

Neither the hospital nor military officials knew whether Horton was aware his babies had been born. He was heavily sedated and had not been able to speak to his wife, officials said.

Horton knew Taunacy was expecting quints when he was deployed to Iraq, but felt duty-bound to honor his commitment.

To: ohioWfan; All

Greetings, friends.

Lord, in days of old Your people at times actually sent out worshipers before the army. The enemy would become confused and disoriented, and begin destroying himself. Often the Israelites did not even need to fight; they merely had to show up.

We know that George Bush must engage in battle tomorrow night, but nonetheless You can live big in him so that he is not acting in his own strength, but is merely a willing channel for You. The mighty power of Your Presence makes all the difference in the world.

That is my prayer. Awaken worshipers and intercessors at this time, to go ahead of Mr. Bush. Let them prepare the way in the heavenlies, so that the enemy - all those who engage in falsehood, violence, and thievery - would be confused and frustrated; so that the one on whom Your favor rests would act only in cooperation with You.

We well know that our nation does not deserve good favor, for despite - or perhaps because of - our good fortune we have fallen far from giving You the place in our lives You deserve. But for Your Name's sake, have mercy and give grace. Bring us in line, so that Your Gospel would flourish and lives would be saved. For the times we find ourselves in surely have been ordained by You for this purpose. If America's light were to be extinguished, there is no other entity on Earth that could lead the War on Terrorism and open up distant lands to Your Word. Surely this cause is dear and must not perish.

So, have mercy, we pray. Bless and keep our military, and grant them good success. Look with favor upon the Iraqis and Afghans who labor to establish open and just societies. Deliver the hostages, and Your persecuted throughout the world. Be strong for Your people, Israel.

Be present among us to heal and to Save. Comfort all who mourn in Zion. Grant signs and wonders to guide us in the way we should go. Live big in us so that we could be faithful to You and see this present distress through to victory, for You have made us more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. In all things bring glory to Yourself by the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Agreeing with you in prayer.

I hear you say your heart is aching
You've got trouble in the making
And you ask if I'll be praying for you please
And in keeping with convention
I'll say yes with good intentions
To pray later making mention of your needs
But since we have this moment here at heaven's door
We should start knocking now, what are we waiting for?

Let us pray, let us pray, everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
For the Father above, He is listening with love
And He wants to answer us, so let us pray

So when we feel the Spirit moving
Prompting, prodding and behooving
There is no time to be losing, let us pray
Let the Father hear us saying
What we need to be conveying
Even while this song is playing, let us pray
And just because we say the word, "Amen"
It doesn't mean this conversation needs to end

Let us pray, let us pray, everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
Let us pray without end and when we finish start again
Like breathing out and breathing in, let us pray

Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence
As our prayers draw us near
To the One who knows our needs
Before we even call His name

Let us pray, let us pray, everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
For the Father above, He is listening with love
And He wants to answer us, so let us pray
Let us pray everywhere in every way
Every moment of the day, it is the right time
Let us pray without end and when we finish start again
Like breathing out and breathing in, let us pray
Let Us Pray, Steven Curtis Chapman
