"a very very low blow in my opinion, it was utterly classless"

He thought he'd make political hay by using Mary's name. I hope it blows up in his face. He could have just as easily made his point without even mentioning her. Afterall, she can't possibily be the only lesbian or gay person he knows of.

The MSM will downplay, as they have already admitted their goal is to call out Bush, and not Kerry.

It will be up to us.

This could concievably become the "Kitty Dukakis Question" "There you go again" type debate moment.

IF the clamor becomes loud enough that Kerry has to issue any type of a statement, and especially if he has to issue an apology, this election is over.

America can stomach attack ads, America can stomach two candidates going after each other -- but for a candidate to deliberately use his opponents family will not be tolerated.

Mark my words, if this gets major airplay it is all Joe and jane America will remember from the debates, and Kerry's numbers will plummet. He already had low likability numbers, this will put them in the grave.

kerry also lost the generations "X" and "Y" when stating that young people should not have the right to self-direct a portion of their social security funds into the stock market for better long-term returns.

I hope all those so called 'swing voters' out there finally realize who Kerry and his crowd really are.

Words like cynical, contemptuous, condescending, and above all....souless. There is simply nothing there.

Even Joe six-pack can see that.

Smart that the Bush-Cheney apparatus is using Mrs. Cheney to defend women and her daughter. What's Kerry gonna do next, attack Lynn Cheney?

Er, the Cosell police showed up and wanted to adjust the phrasing just a tad...

"DOWN GOES FRAZIER! DOWN GOES FRAZIER!"

I get the point, though :)

"Kerry goes for the opponent's family. Actually drags them into the debate! I do believe he's crossed a line here that's never been crossed.

This one almost surprises me."

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Democrats will stoop to the lowest of lows to get what they want.

It was a cheap shot that was meant to show "understanding and compassion." All it really showed was Kerry's real character, or rather, lack of it.

It will backfire big time! Just wait, the Swifters will take care of him!! Or, their wives!!!

I used to work in Moon Twp, driving in from Lordstown, OH several times per week. 65-70 minutes each way.

The homosexuality response was probably Kerry's most awkward moment of all three debates. (Just about all of Kerry's answers about social/religious issues were awkward) I'm very pleased Lynne Cheney has stood up to a disgraceful Kerry.

This could very well be the huge mistake everyone was looking for from Kerry. His Dukakis moment!

I said during the VP debate that it was blatantly obvious that what Edwards was doing was making sure the entire country knew Cheney had a homosexual daughter. For some reason, that went totally unmentioned, but I'm glad to see at least a little light being shined on their repugnant tactics tonight.

"Kerry has continually lowered the bar on gentlemanly behavior."

Kerry couldn't find it in himself to behave like a gentleman if there was another wealthy heiress in it for him. You can put a turd on a silver plate and garnish it with parsley, but it's still a turd.

Embarrassing someone in front of 60 million people is lower than a snakes belly in a wagon track! This from the Party that claims compassion???

You'll notice W didn't say "ask kerry's first/real wife how she felt about the influence she'd had on kerry".

If my in-laws are any indication it will backfire. They were really upset about Edwards remarks in his debate and when Kerry brought it up again tonight it was just too much for them. They say they are staying home this election.
