I hope one day to move out of the Socialist Northeast.
where would a young man as myself find refuge?
Nevada has the fastest growing economy in the U.S. That's where I moved to.
Northeast Florida is a Republican stronghold. Very conservative also.
The great state of Texas...we could be our own country if we needed to be...lots of room, resources and friendly people....
Whatever you do, don't move to Idaho. Too many people there now!
Find a state that doesn't have a state income tax. It's probably a conservative/Republican state.
Texas ( at least for now) is one of them.
South Central Kansas has a very low cost of living
On the downside it can be boring here outside of tornado season
There ain't nuthin' but grass, cows, and oil in Texas. I know it's hard, but we have to wake you Texans up from your fantasy world. :) Hehe! Just kidding!
I'm from the northeast as well, and I'm working on the same question. You have a basic choice, do you want to be near the ocean or not. If not Nevada is good choice, Arizona, Tennessee, Kentucky, etc.
If you like the ocean (my choice) South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, or SE Texas. North Corlina is a favorite with retired NYC cops. It has seasons, but winter is a lot shorter.
The most Republican state in this here union is
MISSISSIPPI.
Southern Indiana is beautiful....click on my name.....We'll be going over 60% for Bush and some of our democrats are more conservative than most republicans.....Good economy, lost of things to do.
I left the NE over 48 years ago and haven't looked back since. I retired overseas past 20 years, but do love northwest Florida, where I lived 8 wonderful years. In general, the south and southwest are my kind of people. My vote always seems to get lost in the NE, but I will make every effort to change my residence for next election. This year, sorry too late.
Move to Arizona. We need you in order to remain conservative.
I agree... there's nothin' blue about our state... except on the flag! You can live in the mountains, on the beach, on the prairie, in the big city, in the desert and even in pine country. We really can survive on our own... the rest of the US could import from Texas!
South Carolina? Montana? No sales tax. Wyoming? Wyoming has no state income tax.
During my life and business career, I've lived in New York, Florida, Utah, Nevada, California, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. But when I moved to Texas, I knew I had found my home where I wanted to spend the remainder of my days. Texas is truly a special place.
/we have some hill country, we have the ocean,we have the plains, the grass lands, we have big cities and small towns, anything you are looking for.....seafood, steaks....fruit and veggies from the valley......i could go on.....but I don't want to make everyone envious....
Eastern Washington can always use another Republican. Apart from central Spokane (which generally goes Democrat, but maybe not completely this year), we're a pretty conservative area. But we need all the Republicans we can get over on this side to help us beat the Seattle lefties in statewdie elections.
aren and I moved from the West Point area of NY (5 acre estate) to NC about a year ago. We are situated between Asheville and Charlotte, specifically in the Crescent Industries SouthPointe subdivision on Lake James. If you'd like more information, give us a shout.
Regards, Mark and Karen Davis
