Actually, this makes sense. Jimmah Cahtah (Jimmy Carter to those born above the Mason-Dixon line) gives Kerry a pardon for his less-than-honorable service discharge. Kerry then supports whatever Jimmy has going with the mullahs of Iran since Jimmy refused to support the Shah of Iran in '76 (?). Yeah, I know, it's a long stretch since the 70s but some people have long memories. Maybe Jimmy wants something from Kerry after the election ?
