Clinton covered up 1996 Atlanta Olympic bombings
World Net Daily ^ | oct 19, 2004 | Jack Cashhill

Posted on 10/19/2004 10:55:16 AM PDT by Coffee_drinker

The very same day that the Clintons go to Long Island to meet with the TWA Flight 800 families, security guard Richard Jewell is patrolling the grounds of Centennial Park in Atlanta. He's a little Barney Fife-ish, but a good guy and very observant.

Right around midnight, Jewell spots a large, olive-green, military-style backpack, known as an Alice pack, under a bench. He immediately shares this information with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. When the GBI cannot find the pack's owner, the GBI officer and Jewell begin to clear an area around the pack. Soon afterward, the pack explodes. Two people die and more than a hundred are injured. If this sophisticated 40-pound bomb had not been jostled, and had Jewell not seen it, the bomb might have killed hundreds.

Richard Clarke and the Clinton administration were understandably worried about terrorism. At one high-level planning meeting before the Olympics, Clarke has even theorized that terrorists might hijack a 747 and crash it into Olympic stadium. Remember the Bojinka-related "planes as bombs" plot. But in the "feel good" Olympic games of 1996, in the lead up to the Clinton re-nomination, when "everything is wonderful," no official even speculates as to whether Islamic terrorists might be behind the Olympic bombing.

Nor do contemporary media reports address the fact that the Centennial Park bomb was one out of many. A highly reliable Atlanta-area police officer who was working the Olympics has shared some new information with me. As he relates, the night after the Centennial Park blast, a bomb is found in the trunk of a car parked on the road between Olympic City and Centennial Park. The bomb squad defuses it with a 12-gauge slug from a distance after two hours of trying. Over the course of the next week or two, he and his fellow officers will get reports that different devices have also been found, including one on a MARTA train.

"The information wasn't really rumor," writes the officer, "because we were listening to it real-time on the radios – I wanted to make that clear."

Rather than alarm the Olympic-goers and the nation with the possibility of a widespread terror plot, the Clinton Justice Department suppresses information about the subsequent bombs and blames the one lethal blast on the transparently innocent Jewell. Its agents then hound Jewell all the way through the end of October.

Whose idea this was is not clear. Clarke blames Louis Freeh and the FBI. But the Clintons and their operatives were always quick to blame the FBI, and the media were equally quick to pile on. The media shed no light. The reporting on this incident is insufficient and inept. The best account, an 18,000-word piece in Vanity Fair, does not even mention the words Islam or Islamic even to dismiss them. Only Dick Morris has gone on record to call this a terrorist "attack."

Six months after the Centennial Park attack, a bomb goes off outside an Atlanta abortion clinic, and a month after that one explodes at the Otherside lounge, an Atlanta "gay" bar. This, of course, leads Clinton's Department Of Justice to pin it all, including the Olympics – a rather novel target for anti-abortion activists – on the mystical right-winger, Eric Rudolph.

But there is something to consider here. The first killing in the American jihad took place in November 1990 when an Eyptian by the name of El-Sayyid Nosair shot Jewish activist Meir Kahane at a New York Hotel. The first terrorist act in the American jihad had taken place in April of that year when the same Mr. Nosair blew up a "gay" bar in Greenwich Village.

And that brings us to great irony of the jihad. The America that the terrorists hate is progressive America: homosexual rights, abortion, radical feminism, pornography, MTV ... you name it. And yet, our progressive friends are almost pathetically eager to embrace radical Islam. Why? There's one thing they have in common: their shared distaste for America.

One final irony. Toward the end of the 1996 campaign, the media start challenging Clinton about the illegal Asian money he has been using to fund his campaign. To suggest his own innocence, and the media's recklessness in accusing him, Clinton compares himself to, yes, Richard Jewell.

And he gets away with it.

THE OBSTRUCTION OF THE OKLAHOMA BOMBING GRAND JURY INVESTIGATION,
The Mysterious Jamie Gorelick Phone Call
By David Hoffman,Sun Sep 14 12:10:57 1997

On Aug. 22, 1996, just before the Democratic National Convention,
Ms. Gorelick oversaw a critical Justice Department meeting with the FBI.
mmediately after this meeting, as it happened,
all serious inquiry into the fate of TWA 800 came to an end.

Gorelick was instrumental in the corruption of TWA Flight 800 terrorism investigation
Did Clinton appointee corrupt Flight 800 probe?

MORE?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1117579/posts
GORELICK GATE - various FR links

Consider: If Gorelick, Clarke and Clinton had been completely HONEST
to the American public about the Islamic-crashed airplanes, like TWA800, in the 90's
or the other Islamic terror attacks, then Americans WOULD have been on alert on 911
and would have had the opportunity to prevent the 911 Atrocities.

Who's Who on the 9/11 "Independent" Commission

"According to a 1998 Senate testimony of former CIA director James
Woolsey, powerful financier Khalid bin Mahfouz’ younger sister is
married to Osama bin Laden,. (US Senate, Senate Judiciary
Committee, Federal News Service, 3 Sept. 1998, See also Wayne
Madsen, Questionable Ties, In These Times,12 Nov. 2001 )
Bin Mahfouz is suspected to have funneled millions of dollars to the Al
Qaeda network.(See Tom Flocco, Scoop.co.nz 28 Aug. 2002)
Now, "by sheer coincidence", former New Jersey governor Thomas
Kean has business ties with bin Mahfouz and Al-Amoudi.
Thomas Kean is a director (and shareholder) of Amerada Hess
Corporation , which is involved in the Hess-Delta joint venture with
Delta Oil of Saudi Arabia (owned by the bin Mahfouz and Al-Amoudi
clans)...
Now you would think that being a business partner of the brother in
law and alleged financier of "Enemy No. 1" would also be considered a
bona fide "conflict of interest", particularly when your mandate --as
part of the 9/11 Commission's work-- is to investigate "Enemy No. 1".
"(Michel Chossudovsky, New Chairman of 9/11 Commission had
business ties with Osama's Brother in Law,
Centre for Research on Globalization, December 2002 )

"WE also finally have our own copy of Gorelick's book "Destruction of Evidence"
and we will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, be fired again by anyone.

Don't forget Oklahoma City either. All the leads to John Does #3 through who knows how many.

And one day we may yet hear what happened to the missing nukes. Funny that the Chinese liked Clinton so-o-o-o-o-o-o much that they gave him (and other Dems) campaign money.

Leave it to the incompetent Clinton administration to ignore the possibility of an Islamic attack at the 1996 Olympics, even after the 1993 WTC bombing.

Speaking of Rudolph, this is from an Indian site:

Lawyers for accused abortion clinic bomber Eric Rudolph on Monday filed motions saying that his capture was "the result of illegal detention and arrest," and they are asking a judge to suppress all evidence gathered during Rudolph's arrest, CNN.com reports.

The attorneys argue that no probable cause existed for police officers to believe Rudolph was committing a crime or that he was a fugitive, and therefore he should not have been detained. There was no immediate response from the prosecution, according to CNN.com (Schuster, CNN.com, 9/20).

Rudolph, who was captured in May 2003 after a five-year search, was wanted for allegedly bombing an Atlanta-area abortion clinic in 1997 and a Birmingham, Ala., clinic in 1998. The Birmingham bombing killed a police officer and critically injured a nurse.

In addition to the clinic bombings, Rudolph has been indicted in relation to the 1997 bombing of an Atlanta gay and lesbian nightclub that injured five people and the 1996 Olympic Park bombing, which killed one person and injured 111 others.

Rudolph's Birmingham trial is scheduled to begin in May 2005 (Kaiser Daily Reproductive Health Report, 8/25). Rudolph faces the death penalty in that trial.

However, his attorneys on Monday again filed motions in federal court arguing that the death penalty is unconstitutional and should not be an option for sentencing, according to CNN.com (CNN.com, 9/20).

If I remember correctly, the link between the abortion clinic bomb, homosexual bar bomb, and the Olympic Park bomb was the small marks on the shanks of nails used in the bombs.

The FBI crime lab told us that the crimper that holds the shaft leaves a unique mark on a nail, and the nails at all three places came from the same lot, so Rudolph, and not a foreign terrorist, had to be the perp.

I remember thinking at the time that the Olympic Park bomb was a lot like the Palestinian satchel charges that used to be popular before they started blowing up kids.

Leaping on Jewell, even coercing testimony out of him under the guise of making a training video, then jumping on Rudolph still seems a bit odd. And now that he has been captured, has anyone heard anything from him?

Interesting about the marks on the nails.

At least now we have woken up from our Slumber and recognize that the terrorist are targeting us.

Even more important to elect a post 911 president instead of a pre-911 senator

In my opinion, that is the one statement that the writer got wrong, it is not really the progressive America that the Islamo-fascists hate, it's just what they tell the Jihadists. The Islamo-fascists and the US Progressives hate the same thing, capitalistic freedom. This includes freedom of religion. The Islamist fascists have exploited the Muslim religion because it transcends national borders and thus trumps nationalism as a resource of support. History has proven that religion makes the most dedicated warriors. This is the same reason that the US left decries and dismisses fundamentalist Christianity. Christianity is the main foe of both the Islamo fascists and the Progressives.

This does not mention exactly what the similarity between the nails was, but does mention them.

I find it astounding that we did not wake up after the FIRST WTC bombing, an event clearly tied to radical Islam. Then, finding Bojinka files in Usef's laptop in 1995-6 still did not wake us up. people I spoke to then about a growing problem thought I was nuts.

Then OKC, Flight 800, Olympic Park, the Egyptian suicide plane crash...and we slumbered on.

Our media and the democrat party wish us to slumber on. As you pointed out above, strange that rabid pro-abortion forces would try to protect rabid anti-abortion forces (as long as they are not American). I wonder what the attraction is.

Fascinating. And only too likely. Clinton was DESPERATE to blame violence on the pro-lifers. Half the FBI, black helicopters and all, were assigned to hunt for Eric Rudolph, while dangerous spies and terrorists were ignored.

Yes, Rudolph killed somebody by accident when he bombed the abortion clinic, and he deserves to be caught and tried. But hundreds of worse murderers were given lower priorities, and Muslim terrorists were given a free pass, because acknowledging their existence might have had the wrong political effect.

I never thought about this in connection with the Olympic bombing. But it makes a whole lot of sense in the light of TWA 800, the OKC bombing, and the rest of the clinton record.

Then the Democrat party only wants power, it has been taken over and is not the party of the zell millers. Yes America was fat and lazy and we still are to some extent. Tks for the info. Its been said again and again, and I've reiterated it to everyone who would listen, that the 9-11 Commission wasn't about 'finding the truth' - it was quite the opposite and anyone who has read any of the articles in this series, or googled any of the info on the events they reference would either have to admit that, or is a liar. IMHO, liar, here, equals collusion.

That said, again IMHO, 1) that the MSM has not, and will not, touch this, also equals collusion. 2) Sadly, we have in office(s), top -> down, folks who are

At some point, we the people, will have to demand that this be addressed or remove from office those persons who are not willing to take the task on. But we don't. We sit here online, tapping away at the keys, keyboard warriors without a leader.

Our President understands the threat very well - more so than he can publicly say. The enemy, you see, is Islam. The only reason that the Muslims haven't become today's Nazis is because they don't have a Germany to unite and rally behind. They've figured that out. Iran is to be their Germany. We'll need to stomp out their radical flames in Iran once and for all within the next four years or risk another world crisis - let us pray that we have the President that has the kiwis and foresight to do the job.

Like that Fox special on the oil for food, It appears to me that we got into Iraq and got rid of Saddam just in time. Since he was gathering his strength again.

Iran with their nuclear ambitions is definitely a worry.

Can anyone believe that they want or need nuclear engergy when they are sitting on one of the largest oil fields in the world. And as a co-worker pointed out to me the other day they also have like the 3rd largest Gas reserves to boot. So really they don't need any more energy do they?

You make a good point. Islamic terrorists hate the (now nominally)Christian West - so as you pointed out, anything is fair game.

However, the purpose of terror is - as the name indicates - terror in and of itself. The bombings of a gay bar, abortion clinic, etc. are not (by my definition) acts of terror per se. Rather they are acts of radical political protest, against extreme liberal agendas in this country - probably by US citizens. These things serve to side track from the main issue at stake. You are not going to cripple a nation by bombing a gay bar - or even 100 of them!

The targets are going to be most likely be things which are used by the average person: transportation infrastructure, technology, public areaas/buildings. Even churches.

Terror must be paid for; people do not do it for free. They need to be trained, fed, clothed and armed. There must be careful planning - with or without inside help. It also should be stated with fair certainty that so called "backpack" or "suitcase" bombs were not only available, but had been imported to (or assembled within) this country by 1996.

The official allowing of massive illegal immigration goes far beyond issues of phemoninal social change in many parts of the country - or even the effect upon the economy.

It was and is an issue of national security - and I do not speak here merely of terrorism itself, but of crime in the localised sense, and of wholesale invasion, on the national level.

How do you know WHO has been coming in through Mexico? Let me enlighten: every variety of Central and South American, Carribean, Russian, Oriental,Arab, and Klingon has been coming into the US via that route......and through Canada. It was going on - on a wide scale - for the better part of 20 years, as our Immigration authorities were essentially forced to stand down and allow it to happen. This is no joke; this is real!

At the same time all of this is happening, our military - instead of guarding our borders (HINT: that is the primary function of any army, since the dawn of time!!!), has been off in just about every other part of the world either chasing shadows, or fighting ceaseless and senseless conflicts, which are truly none of our business.

Due to all of this nonesense, my old neighborhood in Brooklyn went from a predominantly Catholic one, to one with five Mosques in less then 10 years. We were invaded!

I'm regularly out at 2,000m on Sundays, when I don't have to work, and doing 3" groups, all day, g. This weekend, I move to 2,200m.

It's sweet as sin. Dwarfs, by factors, what we used in Nam.
