Iowa or Wisconsin....Which is the best possible pickup?

Posted on 10/21/2004 6:26:54 PM PDT by TortReformer

If one looks at the last 15-20 polls in both states, it seems to me that Iowa is the best possible pickup of a "Gore" state. While the President may very likely pickup Wisconsin, I think that this is a close second... Comments????

Both. WI has more EV, but I think Bush will win both.

Either alone won't matter much. Together, they could be critical.

Add WI and IA to FL and the election is over. No OH or PA needed.

I would actually put my money on New Mexico. Bush lost there by only a few hundred votes (closer than Florida), and there was a heavy snowstorm on Election Day in the Republican areas of the state. Iowa is probably second, then Wisconsin, then Pennsylvania, then Minnesota, then New Jersey, then Michigan.

it seems to me that Iowa is the best possible pickup of a "Gore" state.

With all due respect - please don't remind everyone that my great state got gored in the last election...

Seriously though, I'm hoping your intuition is correct and that Iowa (the land of conservatives - too many of which vote democrat) will post it votes for President Bush this time.

No promises - but we are doing our part, and things are very encouraging in these parts...

Take care

I do know several democrats in youngstown and cleveland that are going to vote for bush, so I am a little encouraged.

Let's try to keep some optimism about OH. Supposedly the secret GOP internals show a decent Bush lead there, or so I've heard. Can anyone give truth to that rumor?

(As a side note, I think W will bag both WI and IA, but I think IA will be closer.)

Additionally, Fox had OH +3 for Bush. GOTV there Bush-Ohians!! We can win this!!
