Did John Kerry Break State and Federal Law?(vanity)

Only my third thread post,so be gentle.

Did John Kerry break state and federal law during his goose hunt? All of the photos I've seen DO NOT show a "tag" attached to any goose.Ohio state, and therefor federal, law requires that all migratory game birds that you have killed, but are not in posession of,be tagged with pertinent information.John Kerry said he was "Too lazy" to carry his own bird.If that goose did not have a tag, then I submit that Kerry is violation of state and federal law.

Source:

Tagging:No person shall give, put,or leave any migratory game birds at any place OR IN THE CUSTODY OF ANOTHER PERSON unless the birds are tagged by the hunter with the following information:(1)the hunters signature;(2)the hunters address;(3)the total number of birds involved,by species;and(4)the dates such birds were killed. No person or business shall receive or have in custody any migratory game birds BELONGING TO ANOTHER PERSON UNLESS SUCH BIRDS ARE PROPERLY TAGGED.

DUAL VIOLATION.Violation of state migratory bird regulations is also a violation of federal regulations.

Ah,the old, some laws don't really need enforcing tactic.
The law is the law. It's up to us to know and follow them or vote for change,so yes,the law should be followed.

If someone checks they may find that he didn't even bother to get a hunting license.

No.You are no longer in "posession" the moment you hand someone else your bird.I was an avid waterfowl hunter at one time.Hence my screen name.

Bingo!
He's never hunted before (as you can tell by the way he holds his rifle), so he probably couldn't hit one. I never heard of anybody not bagging and tagging - unless they had none.

Looking at those pictures, am I the only one that noticed he;
Had no mud on his clothes or his shoes(he was wearing no boots, something strange for a bird hunter)
While the guy carrying the bird had mud..

Hummmmm?

Except if you are a Democrat and want the option of voting via provisional ballots in several different counties.
Then no law, state or federal, applies.
It's pretty simple, really.

Question for you.
Was it Canada Geese they shot yesterday? Were they on state or federal property?
I'm curious, because up here in Northern Ohio, we have a hellacious Canada Geese problem, but if you kill them or harm their eggs, you get nailed on federal charges.
Everyone kept saying they hit Canada Geese, but I think the media is confused about that.

Yes he did, but he's been practicing breaking Federal laws since 1971.

The gun thing really stuck out at me.
He is holding it like little girls hold their first guns in Ohio and West Virginia - it's for safety, and a law.
However, most seasoned hunters don't even bother (another unenforced law) because they've been hunting for decades - you can tell by the way he was walking with it that he probably never touched one before. There may be something more "off" with it, but this was so glaring - even the guys he was with didn't even bother with the pretense of the "safety" crap - nobody does.

Ah,the old, some laws don't really need enforcing tactic. The law is the law. It's up to us to know and follow them or vote for change,so yes,the law should be followed.

Well, being that you live in Alabama, I hope you have notified the local authorities that next Sunday massive violations of the law banning the wearing of masks in public are going to occur and you expect them to uphold the law, arrest, and prosecute the violaters.

And being that you have a daughter, I hope you do not allow her to willfully violate the law.

Also, I hope you never violate the ever important law banning the playing of Dominos on Sunday.

And if you wife ever goes to Mobile, make sure she doesn't wear pumps with high, sharp heels. That would be against the law.

And, since I am from NC, here are some laws in serious need of enforcement in NC...

Forest City NC: You must stop and call City Hall before entering town in an automobile. This is so the townspeople will have time to go out and hold their horses until you get through town.

NC State Law: It is illegal to sing off key

Another state law: All couples staying overnight in a hotel must have a room with double beds that are at least two feet apart. Making love in the space between the beds is strictly forbidden.

Now, what were you saying about judges enforcing all laws to their fullest extent?

Let me explain the reason for tagging.Say you're out goose hunting. You shoot a goose, but want to leave it with your friend who still is trying to fill his limit.1 in this case. You neglect to tag the goose. You're buddy kills his goose, which now puts him over the legal limit.(1 per day)Game warden catches him and he is fined and possibly jailed. All because no tag was filled stating that the other goose was someone else's.

How would the warden know that he didn't shoot over the legal limit unless the goose was tagged?Happens all the time.Someone shoots over the limit and tries the "it's my friends goose,duck,whatever...."
