JESSE VENTURA ENDORSES KERRY
KSTP ^ | 10/22/04

ST. PAUL - Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura has officially endorsed Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.

The announcement was made during a 30-minute news conference at the State Office Building. The former Minnesota was there, but did not make any comments.

Just days ago, Ventura had said that he did not plan to support Kerry or President Bush this election year.

Also at the news conference was former Maine Gov. Angus King, who was the only other third-party governor during Ventura's years in office. He said Ventura changed his mind and decided to endorse Kerry.

Organizers didn't even know Ventura was going to show up until the news conference started. He told reporters who followed him out to his car afterward that he'll be doing interviews in Los Angeles.

Jesse is a near Libertarian Liberalitarian.

There. Fixed it.

To our fellow Americans:

We have given much thought to the values and characteristics that make a great athlete. Our lives have been spent trying to run farther, push further, and jump higher than the person beside us, or across the field of our chosen sport.

With years of training and exhaustive competition beneath our belts, we have identified the values necessary to compete and win – values like personal strength, determination, a sense of fair play and faith.

The same qualities that make a great athlete make a great President – the determination to do what is right, regardless of the latest polls, the personal strength to bear the weight of the nation on your shoulders, and the faith that a higher power will direct the actions of good people.

We see in President Bush these same qualities.

In 2001, our nation was attacked without cause or provocation. The President's values saw us through those dark days after the terrorist attack.

The economy was rocked by the dual blows of the terrorists' cowardly action and the reckless disregard of the rules by a few rogue executives. But President Bush's decisive, principled leadership has moved America forward, and today our nation is safer and our economy is strong and getting stronger.

The fight against terrorism takes decisiveness. It takes continued support for our troops and first responders. But most importantly, it takes courage and inspirational leadership in the White House. In these critical times, our President has had the courage to stand up and do what's right.

For that and for his unwavering character, we choose George W. Bush as our President for the next four years. He is a leader we can depend on to make the tough decisions and the right decisions. Please join us in supporting a candidate of courage, President Bush – a leader who backs our troops defending our nation and shares our values.

Sincerely,

He is probably saying that when he was a Navy Seal, Kerry pulled him out of a river......

He has become one of Kerry's "Band of Blowhards"

"I ain't got time to bleed!"

He is desperately trying to be relevant His MSNBC show tanked. It is curious that a guy that bills himself as the everyman-- a team guy-- would side with an aloof gigolo who betrayed his band of brothers in Vietnam.

As far as I'm concerned, Jesse Ventura just imploded. He is a sell out because he stands with the Traitor.

Good Lord! What happen to the man?

Arnold and the Rock are 'current and vibrant' ... obviously in STARK contrast to the pictured "individual formerly known as 'the Body'" who is neither ...

He wasn't a SEAL and he never saw any combat. Real SEALS complained that he said he was a SEAL. His brother was a real SEAL who saw combat, Jesse had fun with transexual hookers in the PHillipines.

Jesse is a near Libertarian. I cannot even fathom what he's thinking!!!!

Jesse is not anywhere near Libertarian. He only slightly to the right of Kerry. I am basing this what he did as Governor. Sometimes he would talk like a Libertarian, but could never bring himself to walk the talk.

I would have thought that Jesse would call Kerry and his crew "A bunch of slack-jawed faggots"!

I would worry if he endorsed Pres. Bush. This works for us, believe me. I'm from Minnesota and every single person I know there can't stand the guy.

Jessie has never been a fan of conservatives. He always tended to lean towards the liberals.

Jesse was the Navy Seal who gave Kerry his beloved hat during that trip to Scambodia that seared Kerry's mind so bad, he thought that Nixon had ordered him to go to Scambodia.

So he has no constituency in MN anymore? That's good news. That would be a hoot if this endorsement ended up turning people off Kerry.
