CAUGHT IN THE ACT! (MTV/DNC/Rock the Vote: Not so Strange Bedfellows)VIACOM!
California College Republicans ^

Posted on 10/22/2004 2:01:51 PM PDT by hipaatwo

LOS ANGELES, CA – The liars at MTV are using the airwaves to brainwash America’s youth. As a result, the California College Republicans (CCR) scheduled a protest of MTV to confront MTV/Rock the Vote for using the draft to scare young voters. We now see why they chose the fear factor: to elect the Democrat nominee for President to office.

MTV/Rock the Vote called CCR Chairman Michael P. Davidson to deny any association with Rock the Vote’s draft scare tactics. When asked who the person calling was, they would not give a name. The number from which they called (212-846-2609) is a non functioning number in the Viacom system. The anonymous MTV caller repeatedly tried to deny any connection between MTV and Rock the Vote, but the evidence proves otherwise.

Through just cursory research, CCR discovered numerous connections between MTV, Rock the Vote, and the DNC. Judy McGrath, President of MTV, has maxed out her donation to the Kerry campaign. She donated at least $1,000 to the failed candidacy of the Gore campaign, and she’s donated over $5,000 to other extreme liberal PACs, such as America Coming Together.

Connect the dots to Rock the Vote: In February of 2001, Jeff Ayerhoff, Co-Founder of Rock the Vote, said: “There are 5-6 pillars sustaining the foundation of the Rock the Vote organization -- and Judy McGrath is one of those pillars. Without Judy McGrath, there would be no Rock the Vote…” Incidentally, Rock the Vote, including its draft scare tactics and Democrat bias, has been given over $10,000,000 of free air time on the so-called independent-from-Rock the Vote MTV.

“Comments and facts like those make it hard to find the line where MTV/DNC stops and DNC/Rock the Vote begins,” said CCR Chairman Michael P. Davidson. “The exact same lies coming out of John Kerry’s mouth are the exact same lies being used by MTV/Rock the Vote to scare young voters about the draft. First Dan Rather, and now MTV/Rock the Vote. Thanks a lot Viacom.”

“If they don’t stop, we won’t stop!” Davidson continued. “MTV/Rock the Vote gives the Democrat National Committee money; MTV does the DNC dirty work. And the price is paid by my generation. The lies and falsehoods are perpetuated by the liars at MTV/Rock the Vote/DNC. It needs to stop. The war against MTV starts today at 11AM.”

The protest is on Friday, October 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at MTV Networks at 2600 Colorado Blvd. in Santa Monica

Just read this over at the Kerry Spot:

<<I hear from a well-known and reliable blogger, "Keep your eyes open for a story about MTV employees being caught in anti-Bush demonstrations as part of a Rock The Vote event. There's video, I hear."

I had suspicions the show was very biased. The episode I saw dealt with the war on drugs. They romanticized drug dealers, showing one man going to jail for 10 years, saying goodbye to his wife and kid. At least a few other examples. Then they show Kerry and Bush's perspective, seeming to place Kerry's in a better light. The music in the background seemed to change from upbeat to downbeat when it talks about Bush. My apartment-mates seemed to notice the bias pretty quickly as well!

First of all Soros is on the side of drug uses everywhere. Wants to had it out like candy...we see too many of the MTV Generation here in the Summer which leaves me less than impressed with anything attached to them... they came here, one time, to film Spring Break -- let's suffice it to say there was a huge uproar over ever inviting them back.

You know who hasn't been in these Rock for change or whatever it is called-concerts from what I can tell? Aerosmith; Boston's own band.

However, http://theedge.bostonherald.com/musicNews/view.bg?articleid=32945 shows at least the singer seems to have pro-Kerry opinions but they did not play the convention and they have not been in the rock for change concert tour either from what I know. He says in the quoted article, all the band members have their own opinions.

Here, they auctioned some guitars for the firefighters, I think of 9-11 fame. ( http://www.learyfirefightersfoundation.org/gallery/causecure/pages/Tyler_Hamilton_AO19087.html ).

I was curious some about this issue, I hope this is not too off this threads topic, but I was curious about it.
