At this point the cops don't seem to be taking the election violence seriously

If you believe that, give a Democrat a dirty look in front of a cop.

You will rapidly learn the hard way that the cops take election violence very seriously when directed at a Democrat.

Whether or not it is taken seriously or not depends whom the violence is directed at.

Where is law enforcement? The Gov. ought to call out the National Guard to protect voters.

You can pretty much tell what the Dems are up to as they will telegraph by accusing Republicans of whatever it is Dems are doing...

I've noticed that too.

Take your cameras to the polls folks. Let's get some of this stuff on film and to the media. The early voting dems can be Bush's October surprise.

Maybe this is why the WaPO says that early voting turnout is low for Republicans?

In Florida, a sampling of eight counties showed a consistent pattern of Democrats turning out to cast early ballots in greater proportion than their share of registered voters, while Republicans were going to the early voting sites at or below what their registration percentages would suggest.

Yes, apparently so. It shows up in the excerpt link at the bottom but not the link at the top. Does this happen all the time with excerpts?

I'm sorry for the woman, but I thinks its healthy for the world to see Democrats for what they truly are at heart.

It's frightening how much this all appears to be the early 1930's, with the rise of the brown shirts. Remember "NEVER AGAIN"! I'm surprised that it never occurred to me how compliant the press must have been in Germany, as they are today.

God bless President Bush.

We had to take a ride to the county board of elections in Delray Beach on Wednesday. Here is a post I just made to another thread that explains why:

******

.45MAN and I have been trying to find out if we are registered here in FL. We moved here 9/14 and registered on the 17th. We have not yet received our cards. We can't get anyone to answer the phone at the county board of elections because of early voting.

We drove there on Wednesday and the line to vote was out the door. In order to speak to anyone we were told we would have to wait in line. I was ill that day and just couldn't do it. A volunteer told us to just show up at our voting precinct on Nov. 2 and we would find out then if we are in the computer.

If we find out that we're not registered (Republican registration conveniently misplaced???), I have vowed to raise a stink that would impress the loony left. I am *NOT* leaving that precinct until I vote...period!

******

I just wanted to add that there were many sKerry supporters crowding the parking lot with signs and handing out propaganda. I really feared for my car, leaving it in the parking lot with its "W '04" sticker on the back window.

In GA there are laws prohibiting campaigning on voting property. Don't these laws exist in FL?

while Republicans were going to the early voting sites at or below what their registration percentages would suggest.

This Republican is waiting to cast her vote until election day because I would be concerned about dirty fingers messing with my ballot in the interim if I vote early.

If Kerry is elected he won't need a Patroit act to go after his enemies.

The first in line will be the SwiftBoat Veterans for Truth.

The second will be conservative talk radio. Rush Limbaugh will be first.

Next will come the internet. Free Republic will head that list.

Then will come individuals.

From the article:

Democratic Party officials in Tallahassee said they've had some complaints, too. "We have had incidents as well," said Christine Anderson, spokeswoman for the Kerry campaign. "We've had quite a few."

She said the party hasn't taken affidavits from voters and found it shocking the Republicans were so focused on the issue rather than working to make sure people can vote.

"It's just absurd they would try to accuse us of intimidation efforts," said Anderson.

This is COMPLETE CRAP! So I'm supposed to believe that the Pubs have intimidated voters and that the RATS with their legions of lawyers have taken no sworn statements about it?? Give me an effin' break! Much more likely there haven't been any intimidation by the Pubs and the RATS are employing their old tactic of accusing the other side of pulling the shenanigans they themselves are doing. Think I'd better consider putting that KS beach property I have on the market.

I think you will need more than a BB gun to counter these kooks. Isn't Fla. a "right to carry" state?

The fools in Tallahassee forgot to include electioneering rules in the early voting law.

For regular voting it's 50 feet in Florida State. We are trying to put a stop to it.

Ah, that explains it. I couldn't understand seeing all the sKerry stumping, but now I understand. Thank you.

I really don't know why the RNC hasn't asked for volunteers in each district to stand outside with a video camera. Maybe it would be considered intimidation to do that?

It seems this could be stopped quite easily. Considering that ATMs and convenience stores, etc., all have video cameras, I don't see the problem with having someone videotape the line of voters to ensure this kind of thing doesn't happen. And if it does, the people are caught on tape and can be ID'd through the driver's license bureau.
