I apologize that I haven't had the time to do a proper update of the voter fraud thread, but this thread can be a gathering place for us to brainstorm and post items relevant to this election, as well as to share our plans and experiences. I lost my voter fraud ping list last December when my hard drive got toasted, so I'll have to start over.

For any who are new since the 2002 election, here's a link to the thread that followed that election. That county hot list is still relevant, although there have been more come to light since then. Much of the general information is still good as well.

So, what are YOU doing to prevent voter fraud?

Call your local Republican headquarters and ask what you can do to help.

My husband is a poll manager and the day before election day I'm going to help make sure the absentee ballots in our county are legitimate.

I made arrangements to have election day off. I go on Friday for the training to be a poll worker. I haven't done that before. Should be interesting. I have to admit that the early voting makes me very nervous. I know there are pollwatchers for that too, but not many, and all too often, it is RAT elections officials and county clerks that have access to the ballots and the machines in off hours. I don't trust them. I guess I just saw too much the last two elections. I was a poll watcher for early voting for the last one and counted absentee ballots on election day.

Hope all the watchers report their observations on FR!

As far as my jurisdiction is concerned, they are requesting ID's.

This is the the first time I have seen that done for all voters.

The first and easiest thing to do is to make sure to GET OUT THE VOTE, starting with your own.

Do more if you can, but this is the very least everyone needs to do, regardless of what the polls say. Don't get complacent if Bush is ahead, don't dispair, if Kerry is, jut GET OUT AND VOTE.

I was thinking of a good way to catch voter fraud.

If you have one person with satelite modem at each polling place entering license plate numbers into a data bank and all of these people are connected to the same data bank, if someone types in a plate number that has already been entered it would mean that vehicle has been to more than one polling place.

The data bank could even tell you which polling place that vehicle was at previously so you could run up to the occupants and spook the heck out of them "You were just at so-and-so polling place, can you explain?".

We would also report these plate numbers to the appropriate authorities where they could check the voter lists for the same names showing up and could then prosecute.

Yeah, that would be an expansion on the same idea. I'd be hard-pressed to find anybody with a satelite modem, though, let alone enough to man several precincts.

Won't do any good - especially here in SC. During the 1998 state elections I witnessed a Democrat "poll worker" - she had the stickers on for Jim Clyburn-D SC take ballots out of the hands of elderly black voters and change their votes. The poll watching staff told me she had been doing that all day (this was about 5:00). I called both the SC Republican Party headquarters and the SC State Election Commission. The Republicans told me "that's how the democrats win elections" and the person at the State Election commission told me "We're on our way to confiscate the ballot box". Point is - do not expect the local Republicans to have what it takes to defend us from voter fraud. Unfortunately they are girlie men when it comes down to it - especially here in SC.

Well, I know the Republican party doesn't offer much support or reinforcement in this neck of the woods. I'm not sure if it's because they're a bunch of wussie girlie men, or if they've just got some kind of agreement to leave the RATs alone here and let them be about their fraud unimpeded because they have bigger fish to fry. Either way, we owe most of the changes in this state to one fireball FReeper who has singlehandedly taken on the RAT power structure here, from the courthouse to the governor's office (yes, I know we have a "Republican" governor, but he mostly serves as a rubber stamp for RAT policies). Unfortunately, she endured such harassment at the hands of the RATs, that she asked Jim to pull her account because they were tracking her by it. She still lurks here though.
