"The USA and Russia have more common interests at this point in time than we do with Old Europe."

The Russians have been working overtime to sour our relations with W. Europe. Indeed, both France and Germany have treaties that force them to coordinate their respective foreign policies with guess who...yep, RUSSIA!!!

"The Russkies have a dangerous situation on their front of the WOT"

Just because the Russians are bombing the Chechens DOES NOT mean they are our friends. If anything, they are milking their Chechen situation in order to be able to oppose and undermine the US everywhere else. "See, we have to fight terror just like you"...meanwhile they build Iran's nuclear capablitity, sell MIGs to the Communists in Venezuela, build subs for the narco-terrorists in Columbia, spirit Iraq's WMD away, smuggle in weapons and technology (just before the Gulf War) to help Saddam's Baathists kill our troops. C'mon people...wake up!!!

1. The WMD and the high explosives were going into Russian hands. Russians are reasonable, sane people. They are not Arabs. 2. And the most important reason of all? Saddam would never get the chance to use combat mycotoxins or VX against our troops. It is possible that hundreds of lives were saved this way, possibly several thousand. If the choice was between Bush being embarrassed and having to put up with the likes of a blowhard like John Kerry and Bush presiding over the loss of hundreds of guys in a single day due to VX?

BINGO.

Does anybody recall an article written by (I believe) Stanislav Lunev which discusses Russian agents in Baghdad shortly before the war receiving honors for their service to Iraq. When the Russians were asked why they had been in Baghdad their response was something like, "we certainly weren't sightseeing."

Because if they did this, now I do think the WMD's were there - and in Syria Somebody knows exactly where they are (probably Bekaa Valley in Lebanon) and the area is under constant surveillance.

Just as Newt was saying Putin may not have been aware this was happening I got a phone call and missed the rest of the segment. I did catch the tale end of Jamie Rubin spinning this to highlight GWB putting trust in the wrong man or some such nonsense. I would love to be a fly on the wall in the Kerry camp at this moment.

"If the Russians took these explosives, I wouldn't assume they were helping Saddam by doing so. More likely, they were helping themselves."

What need would the Russians have for these??? Its not as if they do have have their own. Seems to me the intent was to help Saddam and/or Syria, after all, have we not heard so many claim that Saddam had no weapons, JFKerry may well become president upon that claim alone. So who is helping who.

Maybe it was the plot the plan all along to make sure Saddam's weapons were missing so the world could mock President Bush just as the lying crooked liberals have this year along.

Why did the Russians not come forth on MONDAY and say hey guys we helped Saddam take his weapons out of there before the war?

Here's how I read this total story.

We have satellites and spy planes. We were looking all over Iraq in preparation for our invasion. Therefore, we have KNOWN since February, 2003, that the Russians helped Hussein move these items into Syria and hid them, and where they were hidden.

Rathen than make all this public, we quietly told Syria and Russia that we knew what they did. That gave us a hammer over both of those nations. Could that be a reason why Russia has been remarkably cooperative lately. Could it be why Syria has just made a partial withdrawal from Lebanon?

But now the New York Times and CBS made the subject public by running a phony story. And John Kerry shot his mouth off on the basis of that story.

We can't let any bad guys get their hands on this stuff. So now that the subject is public, we have to warn Syria (and be ready to back it up) that if anyone lays a finger on those weapons and exppplosives, we'll have to take care of business.

So because various people are too stupid to keep their mouths shut, we may have a two-front war on our hands. And we have John Kerry, a mere candidate for office, to thank for that.

Did I get that right?
