KERRY CAMP'S FINAL FUMBLE
New York Post ^ | 10/28/04 | DICK MORRIS

Posted on 10/28/2004 12:13:54 AM PDT by kattracks

ONCE again, John Kerry shows his instinct to go for the capillaries, rather than the jugular.

Kerry has embraced the dubious New York Times/CBS accusations about U.S. bungling permitting the theft of explosives from an ammunition dump in Iraq. The senator has chosen to predicate the entire final week of his campaign on the unsolvable mystery of what happened to the bomb-making material in the chaos surrounding the invasion of Iraq.

By stepping up to bat and running an ad in which he speaks directly into the camera in an effort to win votes over the issue, Kerry has made the dubious journalistic accusations his own and bet his credibility and his candidacy on the outcome.

How will we ever know when the explosives were removed from Al-Qaqaa and by whom? How can we tell if they were taken away by Saddam's minions before or after he fell from power, before or after the United States troops had passed by the dump? We can't, any more than we can tell who did what in the jungles of Vietnam 30 years ago.

Because we can't know the final truth of Al-Qaqaa, it was a ridiculous decision by the Kerry campaign to jump with all four feet onto the issue. When Kerry should be scoring aggressive points, he will find himself debating the fine questions of who did what in Iraq in the frenzied days of late March and early April of 2003.

It worked well enough that no new revelations are being heard about those Vietnamese docs the swifties dug up.

I don't think Kerry expected to be hit over the head with his diversion so quickly, though.

Bill Gertz is reporting in the Washington Times that the Russians and Iraqi intelligence transported the explosives out of the Iraq.

If tons of explosives can disappear why can't chemical and biological weapons disappear?

That's one nice rope the left is weaving to hang themselves with.

Mixing some metaphors, here is a quote from Senator Kerry last August.

"We've been waiting since 1918 for the Boston Red Sox to win the World Series, and . . . if I had a choice between the White House and the World Series this year, I'm going to take the White House. How's that?"

John Kerry, 08/2004.

"Kerry's mistake runs deeper. Right now he should be talking about domestic-policy issues"

Great point. Kerry has lagged behind on the war issue and he's not going to suddenly close the gap in a few days. Instead of drawing attention to those issues where he holds a lead, trying to change the subject, he is basically saying "OK, I'll admit the issue I'm weak on is THE important issue."

Kerry has made more mistakes in the last few weeks as the lead idiot of the DNC than he's made in his entire career as a traitor, socialist, practioner of sedition ,last of the fancy ball room dancers and CEO of the Liberal Losers Liars Club .........

And according to polls and the MSM he has half the nation supporting him ?

BS flag is at full mast on this turdburgler and his clan of assclowns !

Funny thing, Senator. I strongly suspect that God put that exact choice before the people of New England...the Sox winning the Series, or you winning the election. And...well, you know which one they picked.

soooo true! Do you think there's any cure? I think not -- not at this last stage in the disease.
And why do you think his mother had to say 3 times "integrity" on her deathbed to a man in his mid-50's. Who knows a son better than his mother? I talk a lot and if my mother were going to give me advice it would be: listen, listen, listen. John Kerry is constantly giving himself away -- in his arrogance, he doesn't even see it. Hugh Hewitt today said that by Kerry's actions he is alarming people. And we should all be alarmed, for the behavior he displays is not the behavior of a well man, but a man with a severe pathology. I am not kidding!!

The word "terminal" means there is not possibility of a cure.... :)

Oh yeah, sKerry is sick alright. He is a sociopath, which is defined as a lack of conscience. He will do ANYTHING to further his own agenda. He has absolutely NO shame.
