VANITY - Question from ABC Affiliate Showing Troops in Bunkers Seems Fishy to Me
10/29/2004

Posted on 10/29/2004 3:09:15 AM PDT by grassboots.org

Has anybody questioned the alleged video from the ABC affiliate itself? What is the date certain? It seems unlikely early in the war that soldiers would be breaking into bunkers, opening barrel lids, handling bottles, etc. without the use of chemical suits. The video does not show any officers (as far as I can tell). This smells very fishy - did they get the video from CBS?

Good points. They have a 'special' relationship with America's mortal enemies.

I read this morning on DU that ABC won't release the video to other stations, now that smells fishy.

Especially since other stations like Fox were able to get their hands on the "terror video", why won't ABC share the "bunker video?"

You're expecting someone else to fill in the blanks?

How about a little more background and/or some links?

I doubt this video was shot in al qaqaa. Most likely shot here in Hollywood with stage props bought at an Army surplus.

The ABC article about this matter says the facility MAY be Al Qaqaa, if you are referring to the article I read about this matter yesterday.

Several soldiers have been interviewed who were there and have told a different story than ABC. I'll believe our soldiers over ABC any day of the week.

I know the date is missing. The military is in the middle of a full court press to Bgdad and they are casually walking around strangely under dressed and unarmed. Very weird.

Last I read, the 101st Airborne was at that facility on 4/10/03 and yet as I recall the ABC tape mentions they were there on a later day in April.

I think they are confusing facilities (deliberately).

This article also does a fairly good, although not complete, job of deconstructing ABC's story.

ABC didn't want to release the "terror" video because it couldn't be confirmed, yet they broadcast a video shot in an unnamed location showing soldiers opening drums of unverified explosives.

Fake documents from CBS. Fake video from ABC. Why not. Political hit jobs, not news, is the MSM's current business practice.

If you're talking about the tape FOX is airing this AM showing our guys blowing dust off boxes and digging around inside them lifting out what's reportedly WMD then I agree that something stinks. There's one guy and he's taking zero precautions - no bio/haz suit, no monitoring equipment, no testing whatsoever, no time stamp, and who's to say where it was taped.

However, if all this proved true it blows a hole in the RATS belief there were no WMD and terrorism is nothing more than a nuisance.

There is video that I recall being taken showing soldiers breaking into bunkers, opening containers, etc. The only problem is the one you more or less noted - the timeline. Most of that occured AFTER Baghdad had been secured. They didn't really do any of that prior to Baghdad and, the suspicious places they found, like the one place on the western side of the country, was superficially searched and secured. At the time, they were more interested in hidden Iraqi soldiers and mines, etc., than in looking for the WMD. That only came after the fall of Baghdad.

And let's also consider what a "Blast" of Soros' money would add to the "authenticity" of such a video.

Standard M.O. for the MSM. Run with the story, and try to find evidence to back it up as needed.

They always have the secretary pool.
"I distinctly remember that the major said nothing to me about weapons."
"Are you sure? Because it's very important."
"I am quite sure. The general never said anything to me about the weapons."
And there you have it.
