Semantics. The fact is....Bush stated he wanted to stop the Swiftvet ads. His signing McCain/Feinstein's UnConstitutional Campaign Finance Reform Bill tells me what Bush thinks about our 1st Amendment rights.

Godebert, many conservatives have issues with Bush; I certainly do. However, we have to look at the bigger picture. Bush's support for policies that are, typically, non-conservative, may disappoint us, but now is NOT the time to send a political message.

The stakes are too high in this election. There has not been an election in the past 100 or more years that had so much at stake. The very future of our Republic is on the line. Our future as the world's remaining superpower is on the line.

We can resume our opposition to Bush's support for non-conservative policies AFTER the election is over and he has secured a second term. But not now.

Remember, politics is a dirty business and, doubtless, Bush has done a lot of things in his role as a uniter - things that he may not particularly like - but are politically necessary for him to get the things he wanted to accomplish; tax cuts come to mind, among others.

If you are REALLY a conservative, put your pettiness aside and be a patriot - vote FOR Bush AND for the future of the United States. THAT'S what's on the table this time.

Anything else is a vote for the United Nations, al-Qaida, France, criminals, liars, the continued destruction of our moral fabric, the continued destruction of our school system, etc.

So, this is the time for you to decide what you really believe. Do you really believe in and love the United States and all of the advantages that you enjoy here? Or, do you want to see us join the mediocre, crumbling nations of the world such as France, Germany, Spain, etc. that have given into socialism, mediocre government run healthcare, high tax systems that punish the hard-working, dedicated and industrious among us?

What do you really believe?
