Pres. Bush Promises Freedom for Cuba in Stump Speech in Miama, Florida
MSNBC ^ | October 31, 2004 | BIOCHEMKY

Posted on 10/31/2004 12:18:46 PM PST by BIOCHEMKY

In front of a large and highly energized crowd, President Bush announced his intention for the United States to bring freedom to the people of Cuba. The President promised to bring pressure to bear in order to ensure that every Cuban has the same freedoms as all Americans. The President's unexpected assertion was welcomed by a large crowd of supporters in a hugely resounding and highly energized way. The response of the largely Cuban-American crowd to the President's declaration of freedom for Cuba culminated with of those in attendance spontaneously and excitedly leaping to their feet and cheering very loudly and repetitively "Viva Bush, Viva Bush, Viva Bush"!!!

The President was obviously moved by the outpouring of support, so much so that when he did respond, he did so in spanish. The President asked for each person in attendance to go to the polls and cast their vote for Bush-Cheney. The President then stated also in spanish that he needed the help of everyone there in attendance and he thanked them for coming.

The decision to publically announce the President's intention to bring pressures to bear to bring freedom to Cuban citizens at this exact moment when he and Senator Kerry are enjoying alot of free cable news coverage was really brilliant on someone's part in the Bush Campaign. It was clear that a consequence of the President's plan to bring freedom to Cuba would go a long way toward fostering goodwill for the President in Cuban-American communities everywhere. !Viva Bush!

If Bush has the vote of most of the Hispanics in the Miami-Dade County area in Florida then, he will overwhelmingly negate the voting of the entrenched Jewish Demo votes in that area.

so much for wasting a day with some baptists..

Hey, watch it there-you have some good Baptists here on FR and believe me, we would have never allowed John F'n to step foot inside our doors. Don't judge all Baptists by what you saw posted this morning.

dragged Chelsea Clinton out to stump for him .. AND HARDLY ANYONE CAME FOR IT

Chelsea shouldn't feel bad though. From what I see, hardly anybody comes out to see sKerry or Backwards.

Yes, I noticed that too when he said, 'Muchos y'all Gracias.'

Bush promises to rid Cuba of 'tyrant' Castro

MIAMI : US President George W. Bush vowed to "keep the pressure on" and rid Cuba of Fidel Castro, an appeal to the hard-line Cuban-Americans Bush counted on to win Florida and the White House.

"I strongly believe the people of Cuba should be free from the tyrant," Bush told a boisterous crowd of supporters here two days before the election, winning the rally's loudest cheers and chants of "Viva Bush" -- long live Bush.

"Over the next four years, we will continue to press hard and ensure that the gift of freedom finally reaches the men and women of Cuba," he said. "We will not rest, we will keep the pressure on, until the Cuban people enjoy the same freedoms in Havana they received here in America."

The crowd packed into the Coconut Grove Convention Center cheered, screamed and applauded, waving pro-Bush signs in English and Spanish and shouting "four more years!"

Like most Republican candidates in Florida, Bush's hopes of victory here rest in large part on the support of the state's sizeable anti-Castro Cuban exile community.

Earlier, the president's top political strategist, Karl Rove, shouted "Cuba libre" -- free Cuba -- to reporters travelling with Bush.

The president was to make three stops in this pivotal state before going to another critical battleground state: Ohio, without which no modern Republican has won the White House.

Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, and Florida Governor Jeb Bush, the president's brother, began the day attending Catholic mass at the Church of the Epiphany, where Monseigneur Jude O'Doherty all but endorsed his reelection bid.

"What a great privilege it is for all of us to pray with the most powerful man on the face of the Earth," said O'Doherty, who praised Bush's stances against abortion and euthanasia and for limiting embryonic stem cell research.

Before the president arrived in Miami, a small army of speakers -- including Mexican-born actress and singer Lucia Mendez -- extolled him and attacked Kerry as the crowd slowly swelled to a few thousand.

Republican Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen pointed to elections in Afghanistan and plans for elections in Iraq and said that Bush was committed to "help bring about that same freedom, that same democracy ... to the oppressed and long-suffering people of Cuba."

Another speaker strongly suggested that terrorists hoped for a Kerry victory, pointedly asking "who do the enemies of America favor?" and then thanking Bush for the global war on extremist violence.

Heh heh... Castro can't go outside without breaking a hip, and "president for life" means the only way to get a new leader is for the old one to die... of course, given the huge support in the Latino community for same-sex marriage... oh, wait a minute...

Kerry, meet Melba, you two could be twins...

George W. Bush will win reelection by a margin of at least ten per cent

OOOHHH I was there. Very energized crowd. My tickets were numbered in the 20,000 so that should tell you how nice the turnout.

After the rally, my sister and I got on the Bush/Cheney buses. They drove us out to the neighborhoods to get out the vote. Just got home, tired but energized. I walked to about 40 homes (republican) and 90 to 95 percent had already voted.
Everybody's pumped and the one's that hadn't voted are going Tuesday. Let us pray and know that He is God and will not let us down.
On to victory.

Now that's a shot across the bow. To use MSM parlance, now Kerry is on the defensive.
