***Operation 4 More Years - Situation Room - Day 1 - LIVE THREAD***
Various | 2 November 2004 | Various

Posted on 11/02/2004 2:48:56 AM PST by An.American.Expatriate

As I and many of my fellow expatriates are often hard pressed to get any non-biased information from the media (we are often stuck with CNN-International!!), I have decided to start this thread in the tradition of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Situation Room threads.  I hope this meets with the approval of Jim & John and the Admin guys . . .

The purpose of this thread is to be a place to collect information from all sources into one area for discussion.  Specific threads for specific topics and cross linking are highly encouraged.

The Dems vote early in the day because they have no jobs to go to.

Hey, lots of people vote before work. Why be up early if you're not going to work?

Actually, the RATs vote late so they know who to impersonate.

I'm checking in and checking out as well, as I'm on my way to my precinct polling place to election judge today. Its a long day (and a long watch party after the polls close as well). For a political junkie like me, this time is like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter all rolled into one.

The next time I log onto FreeRepublic, I hope and pray that I have to catch up to threads documenting an historic Bush landslide.

Let not your hearts be troubled, my FRiends. Enjoy your walk into history today.

Does anyone know of a link that posts phone numbers to report POLL VIOLATIONS (electioneering, threats, etc.)? Are State GOP numbers good/appropriate?

I feel good about today folks! Yes, it will be close, but I have to believe that the American people will NOT vote for the guy bin Laden essentially endorsed the other day.

AN electoral tracking map and XL spreadsheet you can down load, print and use to keep track as the night wears on. FUN for the whole family...plus links to some LIFE RESULTS websites.

Good morning, I just voted for FOUR MORE YEARS.
I feel great, before I left I left to vote, I peaked in at my 2 sleeping baby girls, I voted with them in mind. Everything else is trivial if your dead.

The state GOP should at least be able to give you the appropriate number -- and maybe even some advice about how to proceed.

Do we still have the IRC chat room for FR?

Remember how much fun we had there four years ago?

I remember at one point the text was being typed so fast you had no hope or reading it and it looked like one was holding the scroll bar down and dragging it.

Hey, AAE. Thanks for posting the thread. Here we are watching and waiting another battle in the War on Terror. May the President prevail and his enemies be scattered. May the evil schemes to subvert this election be returned to the plotters in full measure.

Off to vote....
