It happened in 2000, folks voting multiple times across precincts even in multiple counties. We covered it. It's happening again. Their claim Republicans attempt to intimidate voters is a smoke-screen, a disinformation campaign, a red herring so Democrats can steal the election.
Grace522 (a Freeper I know) is spending the day driving lawyers from polling place to polling place in Philly. The RNC is very aware of the potential for fraud, and has the quick reaction force in place to counter it.
I remember my grandmother would take the Democrat's nickle or quarter (I don't recall which) for the poll tax and then go vote Republican.
One person registers in adjacent precincts. On Election Day that one person cast 10 votes in ten different precincts. It happens in NYC all the time. I know. I was an accomplice to it way back in 1968 when I was a DIM volunteer. Too young to know better.
Back in those days, and even now, twenty or thirty votes could decide a State Assembly or City Council race. 2000 proved that it has ramifications that could be far more grave. Watch them. They will stop at nothing.
Mary Poppins doesn't. But what happens when John Smith, 123 Elm Street shows up in every single precinct in America and votes a straight D ticket? Joined by his loyal rat wife Mary Smith in every precinct. And joined by fellow ideologues who get 13 absentee ballots at their real address, and another 13 at their winter house in Florida?
D vote fraud is real. And big.
They ARE dumb...but also remember, they are in precincts that are ALL Dems. So while no one is looking, the sign, vote and "stuff" the ballot for registered people who don't exist. If nobody looks, (and who's going to in Philly) Mary Poppins et al can vote

It's sorta like the old adage: "He who smelt it dealt it."
In most cheating precincts the votes are loaded into the machines before they reach the polling place. A person doesn't even need to leave their home to vote......or even be alive for that matter.
What caliber...? :)
Pray, PRAY, PRAY, folks, like you've never prayed before. Pray against fraud and deceit and lies and manipulation. (And just where are all those U.N. poll watchers? In the back room punching straight-ticket ballots for Kerry?)
I just got back from the polling place. The rule here in PA is, apparently, that if you are a new registrant, you must show ID at the polling place. I witnessed a young woman showing her driver's license to the poll worker. I didn't show my ID because I've been there many times before, and they know me.
It seems that if you have to show ID, it would be somewhat more difficult to vote multiple times, no?
As for the polling place, I showed up 10 minutes before the polls opened, and there were already 20-30 people in line. By the time I left, I would say the line was 75 deep. I live in a township which votes 60-40 Republican.

I posed this same question way back on another thread and never saw a reply so my assumption was that nobody really knows.

But what are we going to do about it? Didn't they have more new voters registered than people who even lived there?
Rendell insists there are no irregularities. I have yet to find out what action will be taken, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that he would fight to make sure those votes were counted. They're having that problem, too, in eastern Ohio, with bogus registrations.
Gee you would thing a guy born in 1852 wouldn't be allowed to vote.

I've just coming from voting for Dubya here in Washington, D.C. I saw my father's name still on the books when I went to sign by my name. Problem: my father's been dead since September 1995. My mother, who was with me, told the people that she has written to the Election Board to inform them, but everytime we go to vote, his name is still there. What in the world would stop someone from walking in and voting for my father? You are not asked for identification, so the potential for fraud is huge.
...then you'd better go vote for him before someone else does..
In Philadelphia if you want to vote you need to bring your death certificate...
Actually, there are 112,000 stale registrations that are known in Philadelphia, that will be purged from the rolls after this election.
Relax, we know who they are. If we didn't, we wouldn't be sending up red flags about these 10,000 new registrations that aren't checking out.
