Bad news that became good news: (From Hugh Hewitt-something to calm the nerves here)

Bad news that became good news: Drudge posted a "Kerry's up in early exit poll data," and then we discover the "sample" for those numbers was 59-41% female/male. Which means that Bush is up in early exit polling when you factor in the huge male gender gap. But what it really means is that these are nonsense numbers.

What's not nonsense: Jeb's organization is running very smoothly and will continue to do so until the Panhandle precincts shut down. It is neck and neck in Ohio and Wisconsin, but Bush seems comfortably ahead in Iowa. I just called my nephew to assure myself that my brother and sister-in-law have voted in good old Warren, Ohio, and he's now off to GOTV his aunts and uncles. You do the same. A phone call now is a lot easier than five weeks of provisionals in the Buckeye State. Belive me --December in Ohio would not be as much fun as it was in Florida, 2000. MSM should know that the hotels aren't on the water, and the Browns are sold out.

Second-hand from the Bush-Cheney bigs: Closer than they'd have liked, but the president will win. Today's undecideds breaking for the president.

That's not true. We have been making calls all day, and, more important, we have either HIT or EXCEEDED our targets in all the key counties. That's why all this is BULLSHIRT! You people CHILL. YOu have no idea what is going on on the ground.

Unnerving me as well (tradesports).

People usually put their hard earned $$s where they think it will win.

And our odds don't look particularly swell at this point.

Actually I didn't say that. Did someone else? I'm still hopeful.

Seeing tradesports at 65B/35K would make me very, VERY happy..BUT, that ain't where we're at (more like the reverse).

He didn't specify. I assume he meant exit polling.

I have little respect for Drudge, but I don't find him totally at fault. He reported a distortion, but he did not know it at the time.

He jumped the gun. And he was red lighted as a result and paid a price in credibility.

The fault was his usual mistake of trying to be first. It bit him again, but I don't think he cares.

Reed ain't a "pundit." He is in charge of actually supervising the GOTV and he knows the numbers. I do too, at least at a small level of OH. We are hitting and exceeing our numbers.

"Now, it's possible Soros or someone is walking down the contracts, but I seriously doubt it."

I just heard Kudlow on MSNBC say there was rumor on the street that Soros was manipulating this market driven measure. I think that he and his partner have poured between 55 and 60 million dollars into Kerry support activities, so it wouldn't surprise me if he put another million or so into backing Kerry's election.

tradesports.com. Look at the "political" section.

I was geeked early in the day, when it showed B 59/K 40.

Now we're at 30B/70K.

Ugh.

Welfare recipients are bused in early, so they can be back in time to watch Maury Povich in the afternoon.

I watched Crossfire with the sound off. You must have a strong stomach. But sound off, they don't look very happy.

I see what you are referring to. The phone calling? Someone told Jay Cost that, not me. I just quoted from his blog. He's hopeful and so am I. As always. :-)
