I can't imagine a more perfect night. Picking up critical Senate seats, gaining a few seats in the House, and keeping the White House for four more years. The war on terror will continue to be fought. Decent judges including a few on the Supreme Court will be confirmed. Stupid treaties will not be adopted. Gay Marriage will be a thing of the past. Taxes will be cut.
This is so huge. Democrats are gonna have to closely re-examine what they stand for. The rats had their hopes up high after those silly exit polls and Zogby had them as big winners. It had to hurt more to think they were gonna win. The Dems may go nuclear and risk the future of their party.
21% vote picked MORAL VALUES as the key. We have finally had a huge victory in cultural wars that Pat Buchanan talked about so many years ago. Morals actually trumped the economy for the first time.

Actually, I was almost hoping we would lose the popular vote, just to give the rats a reason to go nuclear.
If the Pubs get some brass ones and take the nuclear option in the Senate to change the cloture rules. Otherwise, same old same old filibuster. GOP is not at 60 there yet.
The GOP learned their lesson. The GOP is onto their tricks and will not trust them. They have enough votes to overcome the 3 RINOs to do something. Besides Bush can use recess appointments without any worry of backlash about having to be re-elected. I am not worried.
Well, we will see where the mush still may be in the GOP spine. Bush had promised no recess appointments as a quid pro quo. That is one place where I would like to see Bush "waffle."
It is a great, great night, but the real "perfect storm" would have been a Bush landslide at 60+% that swept away more 'Rat senators and congressmen. That's what we would have had with an honest and unbiased media in this country describing the real Vichy Kerry.... don't get me wrong, I'll take this, but it could/should have been even better. We still have lots and lots of work to do!

The Dems are going to have a hard time attracting voters. What do they stand for? Everyone has heard them clamor for social programs and the $$'s just go down a black hole (re-routed to Dem contributors). It ain't gonna fly no more. You're right - I think morality and ethics may be making a comeback.

The President's coat tails were incredibly long and strong. He really knows how to campaign hard, and it drove the vote right over the MSM and the socialists who were obstructing him. He is amazing!
I think Bush courting the social conservatives vote is what put this in the Win column. I am certain without the Church's efforts on voter registration and encouraging their members to vote and have gay marriage on the ballot, Ohio would have been lost.
Make sure you take a short side trip to Democratic Underground so you all can enjoy the wailing. This is logarithmic Schadenfreude...
