US Census states 209 million voting age people in 2004.
55 million people voted Democrat/Kerry - 25%.
153 million people voted for Bush or chose not to vote for change.
75% of the people did not vote for Kerry and DemRats.
but, you do have a point -- there is 75% of the population to hit with the next get out the vote campaign.
I like your thinking.
I wonder if the elderly Democrats stayed away from the polls because their "fearless leader" Kerry made them afraid they would get the flu.
That's why my wife does the checkbook, it's the keyboard brain link problem.
1 of those who didn't vote was on Glenn Beck's More On Trivia segment this morning (another convenience store shelf replenishment engineer). This guy said he didn't vote because "didn't get the whole Democract-Republican thing, but I'll vote next year."
Glenn said "OK. We'll see you at the presidential election next year."
I nearly drove off the road...:)
It still baffles me that the vast majority of Americans (150M) either didn't think W deserved another four years (voted for Kerry) or didn't support him enough to vote. Its hard for me to see a mandate in that. Instead, it tells me that we have our work cut out for us.
LOL!!!!! you must have a great wife!
209 mil - felons - mentals = ? probably closer to 200 mil
