The third draft agreement of the FTAA.

It clearly states that the FTAA will create "frameworks for economic integration in the Hemisphere" which means the FTAA is the EU of our part of the globe,

They state that the FTAA will create a " just society based on solidarity"-- solidarity like the international socialists would like to achieve.

The will protect and "enforce intellectual property rights" for global corporations, but they never mention private property rights for individuals.

and will be instrumental in "securing proper international integration;" which is incorporation under the WTO which is a subsidary organization of the United Nations.

They will implement "the preceding in a manner consistent with international human rights norms and principles" like Dafur, Sudan, right?

Here is the agreement they would like to ratify next year.

" They can produce goods more cheaply than we can. "

Yes, and a nation that produces NOTHING is destined for destruction. Our manufacturing base is next to nothing now.
"even if their governments are corrupt and totalitarian, greater economic freedom and opportunity will--eventually--result in greater political freedom."

Yes, that was the promise of NAFTA, and it was a lie. We were told it would stop illegal migration as well. Ha! Mexicans are doing SO much better now. NOT.

So this will supercede our constitution yet hardly anyone has heard of it nor do too many people seem too concerned. New world order at its finest.

I have recently become aware of this and am in shock.
If this goes though we may as well kiss the constitution
goodbye. What is needed is to flood congress with emails.
We also need to contact the media, Fox, Rush and any other
conservative we can. I am surprised that the Freepers are
not all over this. They really could help.

What the hizzy? When did you all become a bunch of limp wristed protectionist liberals? Reagan must be spinning in his crazy! (RIP)

"clearly states that the FTAA will create 'frameworks for economic integration in the Hemisphere' which means the FTAA is the EU of our part of the globe."

Uh, yeah. EXACTLY! Just like the EU is the United States of America on their side of the globe! Why is America so rich? Basically, because each state is about the size of a country and guess what? They freely trade - goods, labor, and money flow freely, and the rules are pretty much the same everywhere! The example of 50 freely trading states is the strongest case for free trade ever!

"Yes, and a nation that produces NOTHING is destined for destruction. Our manufacturing base is next to nothing now."

What?! Are you honestly telling me that you want to work in a factory assembling harness wires? Why?! Do you also long for the days of working in the fields harvesting the wheat? The exportation of menial jobs allows for the creation of more meaningful jobs!

And what is this fear of Mexican terrorists? Mexicans and terrorists can already walk across our border right now! Terrorists can hop on a plane and fly here.

Anyway, don't jump in bed with the Liberals, support the FTAA!
